Thanks mate appreciate the comment. So you can eat most things raw in a survival situation, but things like the (Mamaku - Black tree fern) need to be cooked to get rid of the oily slime. Fiddle heads from the (Hen and chicken fern) can be eaten raw. But I prefer them cooked cause they taste similar to beans or asparagus. Hounds tongue fern can be eaten raw, along with plantain.
