Hey Bogans I hope you enjoyed this weeks episode, and if you want me to make a part 2 of NZ wild edibles like the video and let me know in the comments.

I really enjoyed this video bro. I love how respectful you are of māori tikanga and kupu. You definitely had me learning and laughing like I'm there. Much love bro from Whanganui ❤

Nice job!! I’ve been looking for a video of edible NZ foods for ages. Can I suggest, adding turmeric and /or cayenne pepper should improve the blandness?? Loving the videos 👍👍👍

Thank you for the comment, it was fun taking on a new challenge. I'm not a vegetable kinda guy so I think even if I fancied it up with more spices that Meat loving side of my brain would just strangle hold the other side into submission. Thanks for watching!

@@boganbushcraft sounds good. By the way, I’ve just discovered you have a ton of other bush cooking vids - I’m going to binge them over the weekend. Also, I think there is another RU-vidr that I follow in your area, Alexander Ayling, and I believe his wife has a channel too. Well worth a look, as both of your channels have a lot of common ground 👍👍👍

Nice video bro, was looking for something on nz fauna, what plants do you reckon were edible raw?
@boganbushcraft

Thanks mate appreciate the comment. So you can eat most things raw in a survival situation, but things like the (Mamaku - Black tree fern) need to be cooked to get rid of the oily slime. Fiddle heads from the (Hen and chicken fern) can be eaten raw. But I prefer them cooked cause they taste similar to beans or asparagus. Hounds tongue fern can be eaten raw, along with plantain.

Hey thank you for the kind words. It’s a Waikato university app called the Witt app. I’ve tried looking for the links so I could share it but can’t find any I’m afraid.
