Fascinating woman ! My grandmother was Catholic and divorced her 1st husband in Hungary. She then remarried. Her 2nd husband and she escaped Hungary and immigrated to Argentina. Her husband knew the Pope and asked for a papal dispensation to get married in the church. The Vatican finally agreed 30 years later. My grandmother finally got her wish to be married in the Catholic church in Rochester NY👍

its why after around 5 years of expats in the philipines if they can afford it they get out and dont return. in todays world if you only have 1500 a month to live on staying in the usa is a better life, odd as that sounds, u just have to little money to make the poverty and risk of a life over there worth any more then living locally, a cheap prostitute or village idiot chic doesnt really warm the heart of adults to along.

What a hard life working abroad. And, what horrible relationships with western men. She's a strong woman to endure all of that. Bless her heart.

Great interview Shay. Filipinas working abroad need to beware of low life men. What seems like a good deal often winds up being a lifelong nightmare. She’s a strong woman! Looking forward to part 2!

She is a very hard working and admirable woman. I definitely respect her for saying that coming to America was not her dream. Moving to another country is not everyone’s dream and that is okay. But for a man to expect his wife or ex-wife back to pay back the cost of bringing her to his country is deplorable. It’s unfortunate she got involved with a bad man. Thank you for sharing this story so other women will know what can happen.

What a terrible man to enslave her that way, and Montana is vast open land of nothing but cold weather. I'll bet she felt like a pioneer.

I have read many disturbing articles about nurses in the Philippines signing contracts to work in America. Some sign contracts that state if they quit the company They (nurses) Owe money to the company they work for. Bad Business practice. Nothing but corporate Greed. Please tell All Filipina & Filipino people to Band together and get lawyers BEFORE they sign such contracts. If you think you Need this jobs it would be hard for you to get out of these contracts because these companies have lawyers behind them. Forewarned is forearmed. God Bless You and Yours Shay.

That is similar to many other OFW countries. I really don't see the problem with this at all.

I'm just now half through watching this video. I could make some Americans mad with this but if they look around and pay more attention they will see. So, any negative comments to me and this comment from other Americans or other westerners might prove me right. I'm sorry your guest had to go through what she went through with America and some of the American men. I am proud to be an American but not proud of how our society has become. It is hard in America. For me, American society is completely different than the Philippines society. I have major back problems that our healthcare system won't help with like it used to. I can't work either and the weight and judgement from our society is heavy. Too heavy. Judgement. Too judgmental. No attempt from others to understand. Shay, your videos about The Philippines, especially Filipinas, becoming more 'westernized' is something I hope never happens to your country, its people and especially Filipinas. l ask that you continue to remember your history and your culture, as you do, and spread that to other Filipinos. Fight with everything you have as a country and as a people to not become westernized. Filipinos are so happy, friendly, helpful, caring, respectful and loving. I pray The Philippines culture stays that way and not let the west influence your culture to be more like us. I'm not saying all westerners or all Americans are bad but there is enough to make a big difference. Again, I'm sorry your guest had to go through what she went through concerning a couple of American men and America from her experiences. Some Americans get the same treatment here in our own country too. Keep up the good work. It's obvious you are smart, intelligent and work hard to make your content. You said you want to be in the film industry. You have the talent to succeed. Try your best to do that from The Philippines. You have the talent. You will bring more pride to and for your country. I wish you all the best. May peace be with you always. You might recall my name or you might not. My name is Phillip.

Interesting interview, a bit different with the reverse age gap. Sad to watch, she was sort of a slave...some folks from Montana are a bit 'eccentric' in their views. Not all women who come to U.S. would have this experience.
