Jim, is this greenhouse heated in the winter? If not, what temps do you see in it typically? It 2 months or so. How are the trees that you clipped doing? Also, I'm curious about those bags. Maybe you talk about those in a different video.
@randyowens4437 I have 8 black 55gal. Barrels along the wall on the north side of the greenhouse with two that have a stock heater in them. During the colder months, it stays roughly 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the outside temperature. Thx for watching 👀
thanks for running the experiment Jim! good way to move growing pawpaws forward. edit: sorry i missed your reply to my comment from the other day. do you think that pawpaws can reliably fruit from containers given adequate water and nutrition? could even be in large root pruning containers.
I think these paw paw trees dont mind defoliation early on because of that 7 inch long taproot that drops down before any leaves even grow. In this situation the defoliation seems like it should also slow root growth temporarily allowing you to keep them in the pots slightly longer.
