Today we complete the assembly of the Ford 1700 Backhoe, reattaching the loader and backhoe. The loader was more difficult to remove and it's more difficult to re-attach, but we get it done with some time and effort.

Keep it and do more videos! I've had one for about a decade but blew the steering shaft about 6 years ago. Until then it was an invaluable beast of a small machine. It sat out in the weather getting moldy till yesterday when I finally decided to do something with it. Now its in the pole barn and will start a proper restoration in the near future.

That didn't look too bad! I have to do the same thing but with a cherry picker and on a trailer 🤣. Did the backhoe attachment come with it, or did you get it separately? And where do the hydraulics for it come from (or is it running on its own pump powered by the PTO?) Either way, decent little farm tractor. I'd paint her if you're gonna sell it!

Backhoe came with it . The hydraulics run off its own pump attached to the front of the engine. Leaning toward painting. I am having trouble finding the correct colors I want to paint the light cream color on the fenders and wheels. Thanks for watching and giving feed back.

@@rushedscheduledfun3963 Just curious, how well does that backhoe perform? I got mine up and running finally! Lol crossed the battery wires last weekend and fried the alternator, so got the replacement alt and regulator today. Works great, although I think my loader is missing some... Bushings? around where the zerks are on top of the arms.

The 1700 works well It is not made for 2020 Speed. It can get the job done. Going to pressure wash it this week to see what it looks like under the grime. I would like to paint the tractor. Mine does not seem to have as many Zerk fittings as I would of thought. Good luck with your Ford 1700 keep me posted

@@rushedscheduledfun3963 I know! There's one on each tie rod end, one on the two front wheel assembly... that's all I found so far. The loader has four that I've found (I'm missing two, should probably get that fixed. I'd be a little careful pressure washing the spot where the two halves split, as you'll DEFINITELY get water in there. I pushed water into my hydraulics somehow too lol.

We got ours totally up and running by the way. Works great. The PTO-On-Only-when-clutch-is-out is a little annoying, but for the most part the thing works great. one of my loader arms likes to slam back and forth, I'm thinking the sleeve inside is broken or something. Need to take that apart to see whats up.
