Club FPV’s Dyno Day at APS Frankston was held recently amongst sea of Aussie Ford Falcon’s ranging from Boss, Barra and Coyote powered V8's and turbo sixes, and as usual the Club made sure that no one was left hungry.

is obviously more to a car than power figures, go with what feels fits you. for me an fg just feels right, commodores never felt as good a fit for me.

My fg barra has 295 rwkw & 600nm and I think it's fast, my god these guys must know how to drive, I struggle keeping mine straight. Nothing will ever replace the almighty Barra, time for more upgrades.

Keeping it straight isnt an option 😂..... Mine was over 301rwkw....623nm....and at 110kph in the wet on the m1.....any sudden WOT would become sudden fun....followed by sudden hooting and flashing by onlookers.... Loved it....barras sound so good too

Barra power is incredible, I use to be an old V8 person until recently. I can be travelling at 90kph in 3rd, in my 05 Typhoon drop the hammer and smoke the rear wheels up wit traction control off... You want brute power that rips your socks off you cant go past a Barra. You want sound you get a V8.

That GT has a wild power delivery as you can see on the dyno chart ! With big torque cars , the only way to get them to hook up is to let them come up on the roller . The tie down strap is on an angle which pulls the wheel down as the car moves forward. If you look closely at some of the higher powered car shots you can see the tyre actually distorts as it presses down .If you look at the first green car we ran up ( 1 min in ) , you'll see what happens when you have this sort of torque and you tie them down a different way - you'll see that once we loosened the straps off a little the car had no more traction issues. Not as easy as it seems , and yeah some probably a little on the loose side - keep in mind we got through 25 cars in the 1 day (Y)

If you have ever been in a car which pulls you back into the seat when it accelerates hard then that’s the Torque you are feeling. Different to something with high power (Kw) like a rotary which is quick but doesn’t push you back in your seat as hard as something with high torque. Also why you wouldn’t pull a caravan or boat with a very low torque car.

There was a saying goin around once. Hp is the speed that you hit a wall. Torque is hitting the wall and how far you take the wall with you. There is some arguments to that saying but either way. Another way to put it Basically is more torque will accelerate harder to say 200kph. A car with more power and less torque would not accelerate as hard but can pull speeds to say 250kph. A look at in in drag racing, similar cars but the car with more torque will get to 60ft-1/8 mike first but the other similar car with more power will catch up at the finish line

The Boss is sourced from the U.S parts bin, using 32 valve Cobra R heads from the Mustang & uses the F150 truck block, it's a huge engine, but you won't break it.

ITz_Tonyy_x I hate FPV... For not making an attempt to properly compete with the GTS, only the Clubsport. And for fitting dodgy turbo oil lines that costed me a new turbo at 50k, undersized tyres and turbo flange bolts that go loose and soft diff bushes on B series.. I hate ford for fitting T5 instead of T56 Tremec on early B series XR6T's... Apart from that, I can't keep my hands of them :-)

Im wondering if there is not some improper calibration or shenanigans going on. Dude at 3:32 says his car will make 350-360 yet it goes much higher(+10-15%). Several cars made more than i would expect, and I have seen what similar cars can reach even when tuned by someone like Herrods. My suspicion is reinforced when i see at 4:15 a streetfighter intercooler on a GTF. Those are slightly modified of another design and not as efficient. EDIT: 6:56 ah yes extra guys getting in the back.

what was with the lean as fuck run from that f6? surely it wasn't a correct afr...it would have left the bottom end on the floor running 20psi at 13-14:1

The wideband sensor failed on those runs , you can see the rich mixture hazing at the top of the run, definitely not the correct afr as it was driven off the dyno with no bits on the floor :)

I see what's gone on here the same guy was filming at the Prius dyno day the day before, during editing he got mixed up with the dyno results and edited them on here. Common mistake fords don't make that much power

Multiply kw or nm numbers by 1.36 then you have your imperial Hp and ft/lb numbers. Eg. 500rwkw = 680rwhp and 1200nm = 1632ft/lb
