G'day guys, In this video we show a 1978 Ford Bronco we recently did a full engine rebuild on. The 351 M matching number motor was fully rebuilt by us using a Hydraulic Roller Cam and a few other goodies.
Basic summary of the build is New Edelbrock Performer Intake, Aussie 2V closed chamber heads, mild porting, stainless valves, PAC Double Valve springs, Viton Seals, Yella Terra Adjustable Rockers, Comp Cams 284HR Hydraulic Roller Cam, Comp Cams Hydraulic Roller Lifter set, MSD RTR Dizzy with Comp Cams Melonised Steel Dizzy Gear, Trend Pushrods, Rollmaster Red Chain, Powerbond Harmonic Balancer, QuickFuel 680 Vac Sec, Fel Pro Gasket Set, Block was honed kept at .030 over, all new rings and bearings fitted, crank was polished. We suggested the C6 get a rebuild at the same time to handle the power of the new mill.
As always with jobs we do we put extra work into a lot of other areas to help get it out cruising sooner.
While we did the Engine the Bronco was sent away to be fully repainted in the original Candy Apple Red and it looks amazing.

Great info about the extended idle problems with flat tappet hydraulic cams nowadays ! I'm real keen to go with the .904" Crower roller conversion on my clevo block - but, cashola problemos atm 😂!!! Great video guys, many thanks 👍

I have that same 284HR roller cam retrofit kit on a 351M in a 78 f100 here in the states with all the same things done to the heads, stainless steel valves, hardened valve seats, new guides, studded for roller rockers, the only thing is it’s on our crappy American 2v heads, I really need you guys Aussie closed chamber 2v heads to bump the compression up a little more to wake it up but she runs a lot better than stock. Did this upgrade for the exact reasons that you guys are saying, peace of mind. Love your guys videos look forward to the next one 👍

It’s called “FreeWheeling edition “ it’s really rare even in USA 🇺🇸 as they do a lot replicas in USA 🇺🇸 but a real FreeWheeling edition Bronco are extremely rare anywhere in the world! Beautiful Bronco , Adelaide South Australia 🇦🇺

This is mint boys well done! I am a fan of the Thumpr cams. I realize they are all show and no go, but at the same time if you're after just a pure cruiser with some sound, and HP is not a priority, it can be an option just not a popular one if you prefer some power to go with it. I did check out the XR with the thumpr in the Clevo King video and that thing sounded killer. Assuming that was a flat tappet too. Was there problems with the lobes on that one that you know of? Again, you guys are the kings of making sure Clevo's sound absolutely mint. Looking forward to the next video.

Haven’t heard any issues with the XR, but I did see it sold recently. We are hoping whoever got it will contact us if they did need any work done on it.
