You're right... I had the full set of the Carbon Fiber option, and that was installed on the cloth Roast/Onyx interior on my 2021 OBX. It looked amazing and the quality was top notch. Later on they released the wood grain option, and like you said that looks about as good as it could... But, the Bronco just doesn't seem like the right fit for wood grain, at least to me it doesn't.

I'm impressed that you put these on at all - I'm guessing that the tape that you used was basically masking tape curled onto itself around your finger right? As a child of the 70s I can't even get behind this, unless I reupholstered the Bronco's interior with some shag carpet. Which now that I know these wood trim pieces exist ... I'm contemplating in the back of my mind hahaha I can't help imagine how fun that would be to execute. I honestly think that if these were less shiny and more matte I might dig 'em more. Thanks for the video.

I'm glad you get it. The gloss although perfect is the main issue ahead of the "wood". Great point on this protecting resale. Just paint them all with gray primer. ---- Hey can I ask somebody what the little plastic nubs at the front hood corners are? ----

I plan on painting them later to see how they look paint-matched to Bronco. The plastic nubs? I think you're referring to the tie-downs for like brush guard wires and stuff?

@@broncobebop They are like rails sticking up between the hood and front fenders right in front. Running along the gap.

Yes, that's them. I think they're actually called "trail sites"? You can tie down your kayaks or attach limb risers to them.

Great review. I like these mods as the fit and finish looks nice, but ya the wood grain is a no for me either. I am looking at carbon fiber and like the gloss finish but I hate finger prints so I think it will be the Matt finish as I don't think the smudges show as much.

That's what I'd go with too. I used a matte carbon fiber vinyl in my car.

I know. I think they just really wanted the pictures for their product page. It's ok. I have other plans for these parts in the future. 👍🏻

If it was real wood, like found in Roll Royce, or Bentley’s I’d buy it in a heart beat, but I don’t find anything “Real” looking about plastic that looks like wood grain. I also don’t like high gloss wood, and “wood” prefer a matte finish over a high gloss. I don’t think I will buy their product. Even though I am highly interested in wood grain trim. I also can’t stand carbon fiber look lol… looks so undone, unfinished.
