The New Ford Bronco has some delivery issues. Will you get yours this year? Can you do anything to help get it sooner or even this year? I'll cover what you can do and in this video we will also cover the new full and complete spec sheet. This means we will talk about the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder turbo developing 300 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque with premium fuel. Also covered will be the 2.7-liter EcoBoost six-cylinder engine, and how the twin-turbocharged V6 cranks out 330hp on premium or 315 hp on 87 octane, and 415 lb/ft torque on premium petrol or 410 pound-feet of torque on regular or 87 Octane. Why are the specs so important? Well taking a 2.3l engine might get you your Bronco sooner and it will definitely save you money on options and gas. But is it worth it?
While on the subject of engines, I will also cover the main differences between these 2 engine blocks to help you figure out if taking a 2.3l inline 4-cylinder is a good option for you.
Even though it is not news, as a little searching the spec sheet for the Bronco for months had revealed, crawl ratios will quickly be discussed. Covered will be the importance of advanced 4x4 if you will do some crawling. Ford example, the seven-speed manual with a crawler gear, you get a 79.91:1 for standard 4x4 and 94.75:1 for the advanced 4x4 system. With a 10-speed automatic will get a less aggressive ratio of 57.19:1 or 67.80:1 with advanced 4x4. Also with the advanced 4x4 comes higher end beefier M210 with Spicer performance Trak electronic locker in the front (badlands and sasquatch) and Dana M220 rear axle.
Possibly helping people pick which side of the 2 door vs 4 door fence to fall onto is the fact that fuel capacity is at 16.9 gallons for the 2 door and 20.8 gallons for the 4 door so that might help some decide which side of the fence has greener grass.
This video also covers the base curb weight for the two-door Base with the2.3-liter EcoBoost and seven-speed manual which comes in at 4,286 pounds (1,944 kilograms) vs for four door coming in as much as an Explorer at 5117 lbs.
I am sure this video has some great surprises for you and will help you pick the right Bronco.

I have a 2.3L automatic and absolutely love it. Peppy, smooth and refined, and I'm averaging 21.5 mpg in city driving. I also achieved 30 mph on a highway trip keeping speed around 65 mph

Mark those are some really great points that you share and I should look forward to and Everglades with a 2.3 l because with the price of gas where it is now and where I could go I will benefit from having a 2.3 l instead of a 2.7. Thank you for taking the time to watch and to share your excellent Intel. Have a great Family Day mark

Ya, if you are crawling, there's no question, that's the most capable setup. For crawling, you really don't need any more power than what the 2.3 brings to the table with that ratio.

With Badlands trin, both are 17mpg EPA and 4 cylinder. manual is 16 city / 18 uwy. I am waiting for plug in hybrid supposed to be out end of 2024. I have Wrangler 4xe and as much as I like the Jeep hybrid, I want the Brobco for its better, larger interior and much nicer road handling. I love the 4xe hybrid power train and having battery o ly on trip under 21 to 24 miles (most of my driving is on the electric motor saving me to s on gas!l) I believe Bronco PHEV will be just as capable off road and better on road and confort

How's the longevity of these two engines? I've never owned a Ford. I bought my Bronco going into retirement, so I'm hoping it will last long term.
@Johnnyscarcarereviews
@Johnnyscarcarereviews 2 года назад
Great if... before going hard make sure the engine and tranny are warmed up, before shut down let it idle if you were hard on the pedal. secondly use Ford recommended oil filter and top quality oil. Personally I'd do oil every 5000 miles. I hope this helped and if so consider joining the community if not already done. We have some very knowledge and experienced subscribers who often leave great comments.

Can someone dumb it down for me about gear ratios? I'm choosing the Black Diamond with Satstsqautch with mid package
@Johnnyscarcarereviews
@Johnnyscarcarereviews 3 года назад
Great question. So with the advanced 4x4 you get a 94.75:1 crawl ratio with you.set.up if it is manuel. If you have an automatic you will be at 67.8:1. The main benefit of the higher crawl gear ratio is for rock crawling as it gives you all sorts of low end or slow moving power. It also helps keep everything under control and helps you to not roll away when descending. While the 2.7l is now longer to get its lower crawl ratio will be assisted by the incredible low end torque of the engine. Both engines will make great rock crawlers. As for figuring out the crawl ratio it is the outcome of multiplying 3 factors together but it is easier to check it out on the Bronco spec sheet pg 2. Have I answered well enough your question? I hope so as my goal is to be helpful. Also I've got to earn people hitting that subscribe icon.

Can you tell me your Bronco configuration and way ?
@Johnnyscarcarereviews
@Johnnyscarcarereviews 3 года назад
My configuration is a 4 doors Badland with hitch. 2.7l. I wanted the hard top but end of May I switched to a soft top. I did not add any packages. I can live without heated seats.
@mpeugeot
@mpeugeot 3 года назад
Actually, the ratios are really close when you compare all the different options with the notable exception of the 3.73 equipped cars on 32's. The 4.27 on 32's, 4.46 on 33's, and the 4.7 on 35's are all nearly the same rpm in gear at the same MPH. So most of the MPG difference is down to the areo from frontal area due to changes in tire width and height. So naturally, the 2.3 will only have a small advantage because the cruise HP requirements are similar and the displacement difference is relatively small (15%) and 150-170 lb weight penalty depending on the transmission choice. Which means that mileage will probably deviate by less than 0.5 mpg at cruise between the two engines.
@djntqd
@djntqd 3 года назад
94.5:1 and 67:1 are not really close ratios.
@mpeugeot
@mpeugeot 3 года назад
@@djntqd I was referring to tire size and axle ratio, not manual vs automatic. There is little mechanical difference between a 32" and a 4.27 axle vs a 35" and a 4.7 axle.

Definitely not changing my mind on the configuration that I went with. I am staying with my 2.7 liter 2 Door Carbonized Gray Outer Banks Edition Bronco Lux package and Tow package with the Roast interior. Pretty pleased that it kept the weight in the lower end of the spectrum at 4558 pounds (some of the 4 doors are over 5100 lbs). 500 lbs makes a big difference both on and off road under some circumstances.
