I have the 2020 SE version in Smoke Metallic with no Blind Spot Monitoring and no factory navigation, so I use my IPhone for directions. It was in an accident in the front on the passenger side when I got hit at a 4 way stop and the person did not have the right of way on my right side. The airbags did NOT deploy and the car was NOT totalled. They admitted fault and it was 2 days after hurricane Ian. The person's insurance had to pay $8400 to fix my Ecosport. I have the 1.0 motor. I get around 33 miles a gallon. About 3 weeks ago, I had a nail on the side wall and had to use the factory tire sealant to seal the car till I get a new tire put in a few days later at the dealership under warranty. I have to buy a spare and learn how to put it on with a jack and to remove the bolts.

Although I have my choice of driving a 1 ton pickup, Toyota LC or Bronco Sport, I find myself getting in the ecosport ses more and more frequently. I find that it is quite easy to maneuver, decent gas millage as compared to my other vehicles, and the AWD option makes driving in snowy conditions tolerable.I am sure that if this was my only car, I would have to agree with some of the negative comments. But for me it is a perfect fit.

EcoSport not EchoSport

It's not that small of a vehicle. It's not even light for it's size. It's only 'small' here in the states where everything is Xtra LARGE. People here too, are extra LARGE. North Americans feel far too entitled to SIZE and decadence. Society here is socially conditioned to feel....entitled; to BIGGER and FANCIER. We gotta' get over that, and over ourselves.

The sub compact Honda HR-V blows this vehicle out of the water in every way imaginable so definitely not worth picking up an EcoSport at all. However, I watch alot of car reviews and yours was very enjoyable. Well done.

The HRV has less power and a CVT. EcoSports were heavily discounted. HRV doesn't have the ground clearance for deep snow or dirt roads.

@bongodave13 with my experience, despite the admittedly low horsepower, the HR-V has performed very well in snow and on dirt roads. I haven't tested mud though so I'm sure the lack of horsepower would certainly play a role there but regardless at the end of the day, we're comparing a Honda to a Ford. World of difference just from quality alone. It's just the way it is unfortunately as I really like the look of the EcoSport

@@BigLou521 Yep, a world of difference and the Ford is the better vehicle of the 2.

@gregoryleo4640 with all due respect, Ford has the absolute worst reputation when it comes to quality control now thanks to their record breaking amount of recalls so your claim is heavily inaccurate.

@@BigLou521 Yes, the Honda is nicer, but people payed a lot less to get into the Ford. MSRP was way higher than what they actually sold for. Avoid the 1.0. The 2.0 AWD is quite good and great in the winter.
