Looks fixable but usually when it’s 100 totaled and a beat up car I just stuff everything in the rear seat

Definitely looks fixable. I try not to stuff everything in the vehicle unless it’s in garbage bags. Sometimes the fluids will dirty the interior or stain it and leave a stench.

Should have either "bungied" up or cut away all that plastic BEFORE hooking up (and I hate short hooks also.) it was always going to jam you up All that plastic was trashed at the moment of impact and will need replacing if the car wasn't totaled by that hit.

Yeah I didn’t have a long bungee on the truck besides the ones holding the race ramps. I was hoping the bumper would’ve stood where I wanted it but it didn’t. I’d rather it stay on the vehicle than having it loose on the bed. That’s part of the problem with sharing trucks. When I’m in a permanent truck u try to have everything I need on it. The small J’s suck! 😂

On BMW Newer than 2018. You can use a 17mm umbraco in the wheelhub in the back. Just loose the bolt and the Car is in «neutral» no need for skates. Have done it some times and it is perfect…

If air bags are deployed I will generally take the bumper covers off because if airbags deployed insurance will more than likely total the car. If no airbags deployed I will bungee the cover up to get it out of the way.

I usually try and keep them on so it’s not loose on the bed. Sometimes you just have to rip them off and strap them down.

@@TowMan127 never thought about strapping them down. I would just put them where you put them and just the wind from the rolling forward would keep them pinned to the front wheels of the car being hauled. Never lost one although that's just my experience. The one thing I would do since I load them up with the winch when I put the cover on I will thread it under the cable. Because I don't use the cable to secure the car on I can afford to have some slack on it to put the cover under it.

@@Cherokeewolf63 yeah, that is definitely an option. I’ve done that in the past. If you’re not using the winch cable to secure the vehicle, you can always loosen it put everything under it and then tighten it up a little bit.

Hindsight is always 20/20 That thing didn't look like it was going to leak so much The wheels lift would have saved the cleanup

I use the small j hooks on any big trucks, since it's easier to get to the hook spots on them. Any other car though, big j hooks to the control arm lol

Messy accidents? Tow life brother. Expect the unexpected and accept the majority of them are going to dirty your truck and plan accordingly

Yeah it is what it is. Sometimes the bed will be clean and sometimes it will get dirty right after cleaning it 😂

@@TowMan127 I kinda got used to cleaning the bed. Besides accident tows we were hooking for copart as well so of course many of those cars were leaking oil as well
