Hello my name is Cesar. I am a tow truck operator. Been in the business for 24+ years and counting. Wanted to create a place where other tow op's can come to find tips and tricks to help make their jobs a bit easier. Please take a moment to like, share and subscribe to the channel. God Bless.
@@isaacescalante8006 L hook? Did you mean J hook? there are many ways to get the job done. As long as you get it done without damaging a vehicle, it’s a win.
I have a new Audi. I’ve never driven Audi before. I cannot get the car in neutral. I’ve accidentally done it before but cannot repeat. Please walk me through the steps. Foot on brake or not on brake? Half push forward or backward? This is not in the manual and not intuitive for someone who has always driven American made cars. Thanks for the help
@@TowMan127 hey another question, is it safe to tow a 2015 Nissan rogue that has 4wd on a 2 wheel Dooley with this procedure by putting it into neutral?
@@adamkessler4888 definitely wouldn’t recommend it especially if you’re going far. Best to disconnect the driveshaft from the rear differential. The vehicle will roll with the driveshaft connected but I would not recommended it.
@@adamkessler4888 all wheel drives don’t kick on automatically when the vehicle is off. When they are off, it usually keeps the vehicle in front wheel drive mode. When you are driving with the vehicle on, and the traction control seals, slippage it activates the all-wheel-drive. I try to avoid towing them like that though to prevent any damage claims. I believe the murano is the one that won’t roll.
@@djwilliams5586 not sure. It might work unless when you move the shifter the gear selector doesn’t move from drive then it could be that the cable might be disconnected
Thank you for this video. This information is NOT in the manual at all, which is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Also, my cable is not working - So you just helped me to avoid a future disaster where we couldn't tow the car because of no way to get it into neutral. Replacing the cable now. Thanx again.
Wish you guys would show how to open the case. Why do you not show the whole process. You start off with cap off. Everyone who does this video. Yes it shows you to move the thing over but it’s won’t even move
Your a amateur your to far away from the car you need to be closer to the car your dragging the car to far to get on the truck change career before you guck someone shit up
Half tempted to leave my cover off as the factory key is too dang clunky and big for me. All I want is to do is open the car, get in and start it. No flip out, no buttons - just get in and drive.
I feel your pain brother , out there everday but like you said an i always park behind on service calls an angle my truck out so im protected , people need to slow down an mive over , be safe my friend .
