Ford must know by now they have a problem with these. Seems like every escape will have to replace them. I did mine on a 2019 escape. I don't get why Ford did not include quick connects at the valve so just the valve could be changed. The aftermarket part I got has quick connects at the valve. I had a 2010 escape and also had to change the purge valve. It was much easier on the 2010.
Just change the purge valve. Buy Dorman part no 913-430. It also comes with quick connects..You won't have to bother trying to reach those stupid green and whte clips. I just did it and it solved the hard start after filling gas tank problem. No more P1450 code.
How did you replace only the purge valve? Its fused to the hose line. Did you cut the hose? I want to replace only the valve since the whole assembly is expensive.
@@Marcocracy no my original one on the car was fused to the hose line. My replacement assembly was not. If you want to only change the valve then I guess you could cut the line, attach it to the new valve and wrap it in duck tape really good. Just make sure it's long enough to fit from what you cut.
Omg can’t believe I got same problem after I fill up Jiffy lube say 800-900 bad gas cylinder I’m do some more research it stalls after I fill up and eventually gets back in gear.
@@coryament part is replaced now. But brake pedal is very stiff and doesn’t come fully back up like it did before, I know it’s a vacuum system with the purge valve, and everything seems to work now besides the brake pedal, any advice ?
