Just brought one in MN. 21 Explorer Timberline in the Green color. It's awesome, not a rock crawler, but it's impressive suv. Good for the dirt roads and some ruts, and snow, not much more. I do like the torsen rear limited slip. I also got the Ford Performance lights for the grille.

I have a 2022 green Explorer Timberline on order as well. Its entering production next week and we'll see when it arrives. Am very interested in the lights, what is your opinion of them? Do you think they are effective and produce an increase in visibility? Thanks for any info! (We're also from MN - Anoka area)

@@robertwinter9651 Ok sweet! I'm in Washington County, not too far! The light kit is very bright at night!. You will not be disappointed whatsoever. It's too bright for public highway use imo, only off road. I pre-ordered mine from Lewitt town ford, at $371 vs the $499 msrp. It arrived in about 1 week after order. Hudson Ford in WI installed it, as well as my Amsoil 5w30ss , Amsoil front/rear diff and amsoil in transfer case. So far I only use 91 octane. I'm very impressed with the power of the 2.3. Only reason we went 2021 was because Ford removed the cup holders between the 2nd row bucket seats for 22MY, so the 22MY was deal breaker for the wife. Good choice with Forged Green, it's the best looking Explorer imo. Congrats!

Finally was able to get one!!! Not much has been available here in Phoenix for the past 2 years - everything has been “in transit “ !!! I am LOVING this SUV!!! Good power when I need it, infact, I’m truly impressed with this engine!! My Dad was a Ford Engineer, and I have owned many thru the years - Mustangs/Expeditions/Escapes - and this one holds its own!!

@@Johnnyscarcarereviews that it is!!! I test drove a couple STs, one supped up pretty good, but not a one have the sun roof, nor the expanded one like the Timberline does, but having a huge sunroof for over 7 years, and loving it here in the desert evenings and our version of “winter” was sorta the deal breaker for me! Silly right, to give up the performance of that sweet ST, but honestly, this timberline held it’s own for me , and the fact I could finally go thru the desert and not worry was icing on the cake!!

The 2022s came with auto start/start delete Those auxiliary lights now retail for $525, but Rudy’s Performance sells them for $425.99 on eBay Heated seats & steering wheel are very good. Explain how that wiper cleans the rear camera please? Unless I missed it, they’re nowhere close to each other. Also, 8.7” is hardly an offroad vehicle, but you did say it went over 2 - 3 inch, or 4 inch bumps... and it’ll pull 5000 lbs on flat ground, or down hillI..., think I’ll look at a Bronco...

No one seriously is thinking of running 31's and a torsen for serious off-roading. It is cool, but it is more of a dirt road sport package, or perhaps overlanding.

It's great for someone who loves to get outdoors. Throw a kayak on the roof and take it down a beaten path to a campsite. I'm not rover crossing or rock crawling but I like to know that if I hit some mud/snow or a sketchy trail I'm not going to get stuck. I'm considering trading in my truck now the price of gas is 1.50a litre. 😅
