aluminum is great except it shears instead of bending. Bending will cause less energy from a crash to go into the chassis and potentially the occupants. In short Shearing aluminum takes less energy than bending metal.

So this is officially the shift between the classic Orange and black Cletus into modern Cleatus 2.0 in the canon of the Fox Sports Universe. I guess he changed in design though as the aluminum guy wasn’t expected immediately, thus also meaning that his AI has backup copies.
