It’s time for a three-way Ford tug of war!
Starting off we’ve got the Ford Ranger pick-up going up against the Ford Transit van. Starting off with the Ranger, it’s powered by a 2-litre Diesel engine that will put down 170hp & 420Nm of torque. It’s equipped with a manual gearbox along with low range mode, and it tips the scales at around 2 tonnes.
Then we have the Ford Transit. It’s also powered by a 2-litre diesel, but it produces more power, putting down 184hp & 415Nm! It’s also a bit heavier, weighing in at around 2.2 tonnes. So it should be an easy one for the van, right? Well, it’s the MS-RT model, so it comes equipped with a body kit… And low profile tyres! 😬
Either way, whichever comes out on top then has a true challenge on its hands, going up against the Ford F-150 Raptor! This HUGE pick-up houses a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 under the bonnet that’s good for 450hp & 691Nm!! It’s also way heavier, tipping the scales at 2.6 tonnes.
Will the F-150 destroy all in its path? You’ll have to keep watching to find out!

@@petrolhead9702 that transit has a worse power to weight ratio than my 1.0 eTSI Seat Leon, it isn't gonna keep up in a straight line with my slow ass car let alone in the corners due to the extra 900kg it is carrying, a luke warm hatch would demolish it and a warm hatch wouldn't even realise the van is trying to keep up

@@darrylmac6150 it's just too ricery for my taste, it's the same as someone putting a wing on the back of a clapped out Corsa, it does nothing but actually slow it down. I know some people that love it but it's just not to my taste and I'd rather spend the extra money on engine or suspension mods before doing anything cosmetic, especially on a very slow and heavy van

ranger raptor will lose very quickly its only got a 2.2l 4 cylinder diesel compared to the f150 raptor which has a 5.4l

I will be "that" guy, these tug of wars have nothing really to do with power it is all about the weight of the vehicles. 4.2ish tons for the Ranger and Transit together, versus 2.6 tons for the F-150. The Raptor didn't really stand a chance.

In any tug of war on grass, it tends to be the best tyres that win (supposing there is some weight on them). When on a surface that isn't so friction limited, it is weight over the driven wheels that wins.

Just by looking at the thumbnail I though that's a Reliant Supervan instead of the Transit. Which reminds me you need to feature one of those and try to roll it. Or a Peel P50 (apparently there's a guy making electric P50 restomods) drag race against the Ami.
