People talk about the features of new trucks as if they are absolutely necessary and you can’t live without power everything, it’s just more stuff to go wrong for you, old pickups are priceless with the awesome memories that can be created for you
Cool old F100, I had a 1970 that was a public works truck with a 6cyl. And no options. I installed a 302 V8 repainted it did my own interior and this was in 1979. I owned the truck till 87 and sold it to a young man in Kissimmee FL. And when I went back to visit my old neighborhood that truck is still owned by the same guy and he owns a land scape buisness and the truck is still running. Keep them oiled a greased and it's like an old pair of boots ya just can't part with em. The cab mount brakes would rust out and start to sag I made a new set out of plate steel and they survived. This is a good example of with very little money you get big bang for the buck.
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS - l'm also a Chevrolet truck man at heart like you, but l secretly admired Ford trucks. My next truck will be an f-150 for the first time in my life. Chevrolet is old school brainwashed by my uncle whose idol was Chevy, l now see the light, Ford is the better truck. I was a body and frame repair man for almost 34 years , before that l was mechanic, l got to know how much better and stronger a Ford truck was. I was just like you for many many years, but not no more. Some chevys are sporty looking, but Ford is the tougher animal. God bless for showing your neighbors' beautiful Ford truck. That's the year Ford decided to wrest the crown from chevrolet. This was one of the best videos l've seen. Keep em comming.
Thats a nice paint scheme for an old ford probably one of my favourites,i had my first car keyed when i was young i was at trade school car park...i never did find out who it was but iam shore there out there looking over there shoulder every day! haha
Nice truck. Love the old Fords. The 302 engine is a small block(Windsor) along with a 221,260,289,351w and stroked up to 427 and some even larger with some differences between all. The older Y-blocks are considered small blocks,272,292 312 and a few other displacements. The FE family,332,352,360,390,406,427,428 along with some Mercury and Lincoln variations are considered Medium blocks along with the Cleveland family, 351C,351M and 400. Then there is the 385 series,429,460 along with several HD truck variations that are Big Blocks. Ford has so many different engine families its hard to just narrow them down to "Small block-Big block". If you are into Fords you gotta do your homework to build an engine if you start mixing parts.
I had a 70 Ford F100 long bed, original... No power steering, drum brakes and 3 on the column.., now those long beds in those years are LONG lol.. Kinda reminded me of the old Clint Eastwood style he had in the movie Grand Tourino, the only difference was mine didn’t have the stripes like his, but it had the big mirrors.. I’d leave that one he has just like it is.. Nice old truck..!👍🏼
I watched one episode a month or so back. Just cruised by to see that its still constant trucks in thumbnails. Just had to subscribe to the channel. I dig this southern content!
Always loved the old Fords! I just bought my own '67. Same engine, but four on the floor and long bed. I honestly like the long bed look better, but still, incredible truck he's got!
I live in Portland, Oregon, We had a neighbor across street had a1967 Ford F100 with same paint scheme & It had also a 352 CID Engine & They bought New in 67.
This is a sweet I mean sweet Ford pickup. And I don't ever wish bad on anybody and I know it was a long time ago but I hope that whoever key that truck loses a finger at least a middle finger.🤣😂😅
What a beautiful truck an really a time piece mostly everyone would have changed it all up with power breaks an got rid of the drums out front Keep it up how bout some COEs think that those are cool rigs
thats a really cool year ford right there!!!!!!!!!! nice truck!!! colors are awesome, interior looks amazing!! i really love the steering wheel, it just screams old school!!!!!!
Nice to have a guest appearance of the ‘67 Ford F100. Chevy, Ford, Dodge or Jeep (Great memories of my YJ aka the “IceBox”) we all have stories that we can relate to with how these trucks are part of our fondness memories. Anyhow, great looking truck. Awesome story. Keep up the great work!
That thing is gorgeous, I love the turquoise and white paint scheme. I used to have a 71 long bed 2wd with a 390 and a C6, it was old and sweaty but one of best trucks I've ever owned.
My first memories is standing in the floor board of a 67 holding on and looking over the dashboard of my dad's 67 ford. I was just a little feller. Cool truck!
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS yea it's the first thing I can remember. The truck was burgundy 3 on tha tree. I'm 42 so it was a long time ago lol. Trion Ga. Keep it up bro! Thanks for the flashback!
I am saving for one to fix up. It was the truck my father had before the family split up in the early 1990s. He owned it in 1988. It was also the last time the family was "right".
Yes sir! Though I'm primarily a c10 enthusiast, I'm a classic truck guy at heart. Trying to bring in a little variety for those who love them all like me.
I have a 67 f100 custom cab, 240, three speed. My son and I were going for ride and he had to ask, what is the thing that says vent down there. That’s a mistake, make you go blind. That day, before we got home, he opened the lower vent and blew all of the dust out of the floor. I cussed for ten minutes as I reminded him, MAKE YOU GO BLIND!
Wow beautiful truck ..... no idiot touches ... no monkey wheels ... no coyote bs engine... no air bag ... basically no inbreeder mentality has ruined it Just way it should be original perfect thanks for posting 👍
I noticed he did not mention the slop in the steering that takes a person that is used to it to drive it and he also didn't mention the speed on the interstate which the 3 speed transmission was not known for speed. My father had a "65 F100 with a 390, 3 on the column. Not as pretty as this one, but they shared the same characteristics.
In those days "Ranger" was top of the line trim. Had a '69 F100 Explorer longed back in my high school days '87-'90. It was brown/white. My dad invested money in our F100, he had it painted, overhauled the engine and put new rims and tires. Man did our truck turn some heads! We were always getting compliments on our F100! But sadly it got stolen from us within a year.
@@ismaelalcantar8006 THAT'S A SHAME THAT PEOPLE DON'T KNOW HOW TO LEAVE OTHER PEOPLE'S PROPERTY ALONE... SMH... I JUST LEARNED SOMETHING ELSE... I THOUGHT EXPLORER WAS A 1990's THING, THAT REPLACED THE BRONCO... DIDN'T KNOW THAT IT EXISTED IN THE 60's.
1965 was first year of Ranger upgrade for F100. You got the emblems and optional mustang bucket seats and console and carpet that covered the in cab fuel tank. Edsel had a car that used the Ranger badge in late 50's. 1965 and 66 Rangers are pretty rare.
One good thing about the Fords is its easier to find them not rusted out near as badly. The Chevys of this era are really hard to find these days that aren't rotted out pretty bad unless they already been rescued. You can still find old Ford Farm trucks that aren't all eat up.
They came with hydraulic lifters. If its original engine with no rebuild I would say it a collapsed lifter but it may be an exhaust leak. I own two 66 models with 352 and the exhaust is bad to cut gaskets at the head.
