So do I... but do you know what I really love about old trucks? The no-nonsense way you can fix one in an afternoon and get where you need to go the next day. That's why actual "truck guys" love them. This isn't that. This is some rich guy's play thing.
@The_sinner_Jim_Whitney

Agreed. I’m a GM guy, but my all-time favorite truck bodystyle is this one, followed closely by the square (‘73-‘87) Chevy/GMC, with the ‘92-96/7 (‘97 for the 3/4- and 1-tons) Fords a slightly more distant third and late square (‘8?-‘92? ‘93?) Dodges an even more slightly distant fourth. Love an old, blocky, purposeful pickup body. I tend to like the fancier old trucks, but more base, stripper, work models in newer bodystyles. A clean, low-mile, older truck is the muscle car of the 2020s, as evidenced by their inappropriately high prices. No damn WAY is a ‘90s GM gas truck worth 15 grand unless it’s a Sy/Ty or a 454SS, but they go for that all too often.

Yeah, but this truck was made not long after the greatest time period as far as looks, and has been around long enough to be transformed into something to be in awe of. The Tesla truck was a fail as far as today's standards go. Maybe in about 20-50 years its style will be more perfected, but as of now, these prime trucks will walk all over a tesla truck when it comes to looks, durability, and overall class.

@@guyfawkesuThe1 Um... I'll give you a secret. Ready? It's a huge one!! Don't buy an EV right now if you need to tow every day 100+ miles... Shocker, right? HOLY CRAP!? YOU HAVE A CHOICE?? For 99% of everyone else who doesn't tow heavy loads 100+ miles on the daily, an EV is just fine. "But what if I want to tow over the weekends or go on a road trip" ah yes, the "what if" scenarios. That's how you buy everything, right? For the 0.1% of the times... Then wait to buy an EV. Shocking once more, right? Just like gas engines of old, EVs will continue to improve. I bet if you bought a 1950s Ford, you couldn't get anywhere close to the towing and gas range of a 2022's F-150. That's simply technology improving. EVs will only get better from here.

20:22 - It is interesting to note that Henry Ford's wife, Clara Ford, drove a 1914 Baker Electric Model 47 Brougham into the 1930's because she didn't have to crank it and did not have to shift. 24:43 - I had a '37 Ford hot rod that had 3 keys. One for the ignition, one for the door and one for the trunk AND the driver's door did NOT have a keyhole. That was a safety "feature" so you wouldn't open the door into traffic after parking. You would lock the driver's door from the inside, slide across and get out the passenger side and then lock the door.

This is REALLY COOL!! This is fantastic news for people who want to restore OLD CLASSIC automobiles using 100% ELECTRIC power!! I'm really glad to hear that Ford is offering ELECTRIC automobile PARTS for sale to allow people to be able to make this idea a REALITY!! I only wish that Tesla, Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen, etc. would do the same. I am MOST interested in restoring an automobile from the 1920's through the 1970's (for the BODY STYLE) using the ELECTRIC SKATEBOARD CHASSIS. This set-up employs one ELECTRIC HUB MOTOR located INSIDE EACH WHEEL of the vehicle. I want the batteries to be CENTERED along the chassis floor so that the vehicle is superbly BALANCED!! I'm also interested in CENTERING the steering wheel, accelarator, brake pedal, and driver's seat in the MIDDLE of the dashboard so that the TRACK of the vehicle will be BALANCED from LEFT to RIGHT when 1 person is driving, like a Formula 1 car. I still want there to be PASSENGER seats too though!! This type of design can be applied to ANY type of vehicle (even 3-wheelers) and will provide superb BALANCE, ALL-WHEEL DRIVE, HANDLING (accelaration, braking, steering, etc.), and phenomenal GROUND CLEARANCE (at least as good as a MILITARY GRADE Hummer) for people who want to go OFF-ROADING!! Electric automobiles truly have EVERY advantage over internal combustion vehicles that you can imagine!! Like Jay Leno said, they already have MORE horsepower and torque. There is NO engine oil to have to change all the time and you NEVER have to be worried about it LEAKING on your driveway!!
