Thanks for watching my Lumina video Nobel. This fairmont is pristine! Nice color and in great shape. We used to have an early eighties Fairmont wagon, 'till i backed it into a tractor and smashed the rear hatch and window. Oops. Thanks again for the comment. My lumina still runs great. 187K miles, 28mpg, and a new (spraycan) paintjob. lol. I love it. nathan
I Have always loved these cars. I have a 78 Fairmont Station wagon and a 82 Mercury Zephyr Z7 2 door. I have a couple of videos here on youtube of my Station wagon. I like your car.
Very nice condition, Netherlands since new? If so, it has held up very well. Also rare to see a four door with bucket seats and floor shifter, and the rear side window louvered panels.
The Fairmont was a nicely built, well thought out car when it was introduced for 1978. It was the first Ford car to ride the company's Fox platform, which would also serve as the foundation for the 1979 Mustang. The Fairmont was available with a 2.3 liter four as standard, with optional engines being the tried and true 3.3 liter inline six and 5.0 liter V-8. The Fox platform lasted 26 years, from 1978 to 2004, second only to the 32-year run for the Panther platform (Crown Victoria/Mercury Grand Marquis/Lincoln Town Car) (1979-2011).
that thing has a straight ass body dude. You should definatly put a 302 or a 351w in it and leave it stock looking. that is a cool old car that will last a long long time
Coole Fairmont hoor! Zelfde dashboard kleur als die van mij, al wijkt de bekleding wel weer af. Succes ermee, en check ook even die van mij bij mijn video's.
One of the best car's Ford made they looked like car's roomy and didn't look like jelly bean with wheels like most 80s car's. The 78 models were nice when they came out.
pretty cars especially when compared to today's ugly plastic bubbles. These cars had great visibility unlike today where you can't see shit behind you. Love the metal bumpers too which can wipe out a new car's plastic just by parallel parking.
@nofgood4live those straight six engines are pretty tough they just dont pull any rpm's. but that is still a coll ride to drive every day. I am trying to find me a ford maverick with the same engine to make a daily driver out of
