I've just bought one of my daughters a Fiesta and with the other one at Uni I am skint! I will use your help in this video to service the car. Thank you so much.
Great video mate. I love these fiestas, very easy to service. I bet the pollen filter was black in this one too! that air filter was about five years old :(
Super vid that JWT, gives me the confidence to do my own! and you listed all the tools you need to do the job, very informative, and thank you for sharing. you have a new fan!
It looks quite accessible, what gives me the most respect is changing the spark plugs in case I leave something wrong, but I definitely want to carry out the maintenance myself, I also have to find a place where to do it because I don't have a garage :(
Good video, but I never saw him check the gap on the spark plugs which is important. Although most new plugs come already gapped it is still a good idea to check them. Also, it would have been a good idea to put some "anti seize" on the threads of each plug.
Hi Replying from your comment on my last post. I have read the Haynes manual and it states when filling to set the heater to max but ensure the blower is switched off
Hi there its that time of year for a service of my ford fiesta got a question I'm changing my coolant is it imperative that I flush the system I have brought some holts coolant flush. Secondly to avoid air in the system I just fill the system slowly ?
@@andrewkelsall6180 I wouldn’t recommend coolant flush and as for air yes slow pouring and squeezing/pumping water hoses and leave hot air/fan on inside car make sure hot air blows through
Sorry one more question could I use normal tap water to flush my coolant system or is just wise to fill it with new coolant thanks for your advice and help
@@andrewkelsall6180 Keep one hand firmly on the extension to stop the wobbling and the other hand to the bottom of the ratchet and turn slowly, Sometimes tightening ever so slightly then undoing works a treat on any stubborn tight plugs or nuts.
Coolant all done letting it stand over night and will check level in morning. It is blowing hot air through the blowers. Just want to ask another question. If i get and 2 tonne hydraulic Jack does it need priming ?
Hiya mate The ramps you use are they reasonably priced. And when you fill the oil are you able to put some in before you start the Engine before taking off the ramps and put it on the flat?
Hi the ramps are called Rhino Ramps not sure how much they cost now I bought them many years ago (best investment trust me) and yes of course you are able to reach the oil filler cap to top up oil before reversing off the ramp and then further topping up on level ground.
Pengen nanya om.ford fiesta matik 1.5 klau pas jalanan macet, ketika dari stop dan mau go,mobil tidak bertenaga dan kadang ndut ndutan, kira kira apanya ya om ?,kl busi udah diganti.kl kencang gak ada masalah
@@Abde01x If you are new to this you can buy a basic tool kit from ebay it will have everything you need I have attached a link below, www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-94pc-1-4-1-2-Socket-Ratchet-Screwdriver-Bit-Set-with-Case-/185030582791?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
@@davidwaters5348 Mate I’ve had them over 4 years now still going strong have never doubted going under the car or anything they are really solid and safe
you can on some cars majority japanese cars as they are mostly screw in directly under the engine but with this car if you was to do that the oil will spill out because of the location of the filter
