Should have used a paintbrush and hoovered all that dust out before opening it up! Still a good video on how to get access to siphon the fuel out which was what Iw as looking for as you cant siphon from the fuel filler anymore on modern cars to prevent fuel theft!
I have a 3dr 2014 Fiesta ST in the UK. now my fuel pump is randomly pulsing on and off , so in need of changing , however the uk version does not have the big rubber diaphragm to get access. shame really as your video makes it look so easy.... mine is a fuel tank out job.....car at ford currently
Just in case you have Fiesta with no fuel pump hatch just use a pair of tin snips to cut a hole under the seat where the wire goes through it takes less than 5 mins. Do not drop the petrol tank.
Really bad , no proper cleaning done, if no airline and brake cleaner to blow away dirt then use warm soapy water and paint brush to clean and wash down, then use anything that blows to dry out, hairdryer on cold or vacuum cleaner on blow , when metal ring moves if more dirt clean it away again, you don't want ANY dirt dropping in that tank, and if engine is still able to run before changing pump, then drain out fuel by disconnecting the return pipe to tank and placing in container to collect, start engine run till fuel light comes on, switch off and reconnect pipes, with tank nearly empty you can see if any muck in tank, use a hand or electric siphon pump to suck up dirt, job done.
