In case you did not know, All North American Ford assembled cars utilize Mazda platforms including the Mitsubishi modified platform that became the base for Volvo FWD in the late 80s to Present. The smaller platforms like the focus and fiesta including the Edge are Mazda based, the larger platforms like the Taurus,Explorer,and Flex are built off the Mtsubishi platform. Mustang is built off the obsolete Lincoln S and Jag S type.Ford in reality just makes trucks designed and engineered in US now

Yes, it's Auto Alliance(Thailand) plant but there's no more production in this plant now, it's transfer to Ford Motor (Thailand) absolutely since 2012.

it is simply logical for this car to be manufactured in asia for asian market. Building this car in US means customers in Asia will have to pay more for the massive shipping cost. It will makes the car less competitive as a product compare to locally produce car.
Beautiful boy! Have you forgot about the constant strikes at Dagenham at 70`s and 80`s? Brits moaned constantly about the monotonous work and how not easy it was to go to work every day! +louis defunes Knowledge is better than an assumption. The Fiesta is build in China, Thailand, India and Taiwan (regarding Asia). China and Taiwan dont have cars driving on the left, so its either Thailand or India. Everything has become marginalized,and the scary part is, through clever marketing, people like yourself accept less. I think if BMW took Mini beyond the retro styling, you might see a whole new breed of originality.But then again, European car makers including their off-shoots in the Uk try to sell the fewest possible cars for the highest amount. Mazda 2,Honda fit, Fiat/Dodge Dart,Hyundai Genesis Coupe,and Ford Mustang would probably be the best in US right now for value to bang quotient.

What Country is this in?? Robots NEVER call in sick, get pregnant or demand raises and amazing what robots can be programmed to do. Now more and more people and less and less manufacturing jobs, not a good scenario for a man looking for a stable, well paying job.
I disagree... humans program, build, install, maintain, inspect these machines as well as inspecting the final product for QA. All of these mentioned jobs are more highly skilled and better paying. Just a different world.
