Just what I needed. I have a very similar fault on a 06 fiesta where the milage display has gone blank. I have no power on pin 17 of the instrument cluster on the, orange and blue wire. But have power on fuse 20. The wiring diagram did not show a plug connector in between the fuse box and the instrument cluster. So I now know where to look next. Happy day. 👍

Bloody good find mate Had similar sometime back what I have done chopped wires either side of the block connector and simply soldered in mini spade connector and job was done could’ve replaced entire connector but it wasn’t cost effective so in my eyes it was an adequate repair Thanks for the video that was a good educational video

HI Jaco from South Africa. Thanks for a detailed video explaining every step. I ended up with no power on the F20 7.5A fuse. Followex the wire back tot the connector at the passengerside footwell but no crusties on the plug so we went back and found no power on both side s of the F20 7.5A fuse. Checked your wiring diagram at 09:50 and saw the F20 fuse gets power from a 60A fuse which is situated next to the battery box. Removed the battery box and found the connector next to the battery box has come undone. Plugged it in and all ppwer was restored to cluster and car started

New we should have updated the autologic with an opus/ farsight tablet. How are you finding yours?

fixed the problem with no click sound or arrow indicator lights on dash, 1 stupid wire from the after market head unit, u only need the 3 wires 12+ ground Acc, the other wire that caused the problem was the green wire from the head unit, its the one that dims the display when side lights switched on, although that did work it messed up the dash click sound and hazard/indicator arrows.

Had the green crusties on an Audi Q7, 2015 automatic last year , customer took it to gearbox specialist as loss of display on gearchange display and stuck in gear , they diagnosed either gearbox or gearchange selector , I got it in as customer decided to order selector mechanism, started looking at it , did vcds scan , loads of gearbox faults , cleared and drove for about 3miles then faults back on , found selector mechanism under floor , next to front propshaft , 16 pin connector plug was next to propshaft, unplugged it , loads of water came out , at least 8 pins rotten , fitted replacement connector loom, off a doner Audi , and routed away from propshaft , as it was chucking water all over connector , did full vcds scan after , now no faults showing , told him to put the gear change selector on eBay as it was special order and non returnable, he was happy I charged him 200 quid Inc bits and time

I got a very similar fault on my st150. Going to check those connectors 100%!! My dash, ac, radio can just die when im driving and start working 15sec later with abs and engine light on. Turning indicators go dead also when this happens! It all started after i changed oil and cabin filter!

Great .you are just awesome bud . Keep safe il sent some info on my car lol once my son put it on opcom . Its a vectra a d had a inlet change flaps removed had blue smoke lots lol . Got a p0105 code . And iv had to earth one temp wire to stop the smoke and fan running . Car was ok til the change so recon inlet fitted with flaps garage cant clear it . Hopefully you can shed some light on it after weekend bern at it for 2 years lol .

Hi, need your brains, 2006 ford fiesta 5 door, 14 tdci, when u press the hazard switch all 4 lights flash as they should, but no click sound from the dash and no green arrows flashing on the dash, same thing when indicating, the 2 green arrows on the dash flash when u double lock the car from key fob. Any clues please. Mark W

This job is just tipical of the repair network the instrument cluster was sent off and it came back " repaired" and I suspect it had no fault at all, if it had been returned nff the repair could have been continued and found without the imbarasment involving the customer and a second visit for the same fault

Why are wiring diagrams in this country never right, it takes your time up with the confusion, not only that even found it on cambelt diagrams eg. Looking for crank locking bolts in side of the engine that are not there.
