Everyone be aware and check your speaker cables. Original woofers had mismatched cable colours and left door had grey + and white - and right door had white + and grey -. Dont know if original speakers are ok with this but when changing you have to have + to + if you stey with reversed you will get minimum bass with nee speakers. Any way why to cut cables... just make few cm with a connector and put it into existing installation. In the focus mk2 fl you have tweeeters on the same cables as woofers...
I haven't seen many videos showing the door cards being put back on. Lots of videos of removal, not so many (if any) putting them back on. I'm guessing that's because they might be hard to put back on correctly? Maybe they never go back quite the same as before they were removed. I've had loads of 2nd hand cars with loose door cards, cards flapping away from the door at the bottom because someone removed it and couldn't get it back on properly.
My speaker still works, but i want to check the wires cause sometimes the speaker stops giving sound.. and then goes back on again.. so i guess the wires or plugs arent all that great and need to be checked.. hope it goes as easy as this video makes it seem😂
Thanks for the video pal, just wondering if i can do the same to the rear speakers too? As it is done to front ones. If yes can i know what size speakers shall I get for the rear?
Hi I have changed my rear speakers but the sound is totally messed up. The base just goes too bad. Can wrong cables attached may be cause of this problem? Plz can u gimme some piece of advice
Have you tried using DEI boom mats? They’re like a baffle that fits to the rear of the speakers and stops you losing the bass and midrange sounds into the door so it sounds better in the cabin, they’re available on eBay for about £15 a pair I’ll try and post a link
