Always unhook your vehicles negative battery before installing and always tape the end of those wires that you didn't use. They'll receive power during certain functions and short out. That's more than likely what caused the blown fuse. Good video other than that. Thank you sir.

My radio is similar but there's three wires that connect to the green circuit board also, where or what are those wires for? The manual isn't specific at all. I'm think it's to test the radio for power before installation? Manual said something about it but there's no red wire, it's orange white and black that connects in but wires are open with no connection that the wires would go into. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW great videos, very helpful, and much appreciated 😊

At 11:17 yours isn't like mine, it's soldered directly onto the green board. I had a hell of a hard time getting it in and at one point thought I plugged it in the wrong way as I could not get it back out. Glad I eventually got it to seat properly. I think my canbus may be bad. None of my steering wheel controls are working.

Do you think the 8 core would be a significant performance improvement or no? I had the slowest one (1 gig ram 4 core or something) before i sold my last Focus, and LOVED it and used it every day for bluetooth music driving to work but the Nav was really slow and it didn't have carplay. I didn't mind it but my passengers complained about it. Do you think it matters how fast it is as long as I get the one with CarPlay if I just want music, GPS and the big screen?

Nice video I installed this into my gfs mk3 for her bd abfew months ago It worked great However for some reason the lcd is now just black and nothing can bee seen on the screen But the sound still works and the phone connects to bt. And also touch buttons work because if I press where the voulume up and down suppose to be. Has anybody had an issue like that What can I do to make it work again

I have a ford focus st you have to connect the amp wire and select canbus setting hiworld then select ford and then Mandeo and then the year of your car it should work

Also I can't find your video on whether this was a good buy so I have a few questions that I would really love for you to answer if it's not too much trouble my friend. 1: Are there any negatives to owning this? 2: Does this work with the built in microphone in the car or does it need a new microphone fitted? 3: I love the idea of the upgrade but worried I'll regret it and have to fit the original back in! Is it much better and responsive enough to feel like it was always meant to be there? 4: Also do music and radio stations sound any different after fitting the new stereo? As I love the current sound and worry it will be a lot worse. Finally what company would you recommend buying it from?
