Good video! I have had the 2.0 diesel for over 11 years now (it's a 2005 model). Best family car ever - towing caravans, moving house - you can stand a dishwasher, fridge, washing machine vertically in the boot! Or driving to work, enough power when you need it and good fuel economy when needed. Had mine 11 years, want at least 11 more!!!! Mine likes metal music too.
Getting given a 2005 1.8 petrol 125hp for free, it is in great condition and just had all its tuv (UK MOT) done and any work done that was needed but actually it passed everything and drives amazing. I mean it is not the monster sports car id love but right now we dont have a pot to wee in after so much trouble and other things, so for free we are very happy. Up till now recently we have driven a 1l 69hp hyundai getz 2 door, so we hope this will be a nice change lol We have not got it yet but get in within a week from now I hope. Mostly we love how it has 4 doors lol and loads of space
I had this car for about 7 years from near new. It had the manual box. Not many problems really but it had a few alternators and I had a problem with the EGR valve. EGR valve was replaced on warranty. Plenty of power and good economy if you’re careful. Saw 60 mpg on a run driving like a vicar! Plenty space for the family and versatile seating in the rear. Easy to get in and out of too. Handy having the space for the occasional run to the tip or for diy stuff. Good strong breaks as well. Only real downsides were the clutch pedal being very heavy and the car was a bit noisy on the road. Starting to look very dated now in 2018 but there you go.. The only real reason we moved it on at 130,000 miles was we were getting a few odd problems with abs and other odds and sods. Good car though. Enjoyed owning it.. Black/Zetec with the luxury of leather 😃

I really like mine. Picked it up the other day at auction for next to nothing. Great ride, upright seats are awesome for comfort on long trips. Huge windscreen. Huge boot and removable back seats. 55 mpg whatever you do. Good suspension. Just take care of the oil changes and your turbo will take care of you!
+wozzlepop absolutely agree with you. My car saved my life few days back. Great breaks. I broke front wheel lager but that's small thing. If this car was not so safe I was not going to write this comment today. So enjoy it.

Thank you for this video. My boss is buying a car like this and now I know that he might have an electric handbrake and no cruise control. He's going to hate it hahaha. Maybe his car is a different version (but also 2005). Also thumbs up for A7X haha. Good choice.
Excellent car, i have the same version, keep in mind that some electrical faults will be happen, such as sometimes PCM WON'T go to sleep after you lock the car, and sometimes you may see that lcd (km) instrument cluster will stay lighted also under mirror lights a bit . Or you may notice sometimes that car looses power, don't worry just reset the PCM and remove the negative and the the positive pole. And it will reset. This car as i know maps your driving preferences for the fuel consumption. When you reset the PCM the car turns again to be aggressive and everything goes well.

I have more questions about this car. you used two abbreviations one is msg and the other is epb . what are thoes abbrevtions means? I know where the hidden compartment for the hand break is located. Why do you use it often? When i heard on your video about installing gps . I took my wife to the shop and we bought gps I removed sony radio and install gps instead of it.It works very good. Hello and congrats for the car ! I hope you will drive it without any problems . About your question : the Hand break is very simple to use. When you press the button down it locks the car , when you press it up unlocks it . Normally when you shut down the car and you open the door you will see msg and beeps in the coupe that the epb is not activated . You also have hidden place if the break broke to manually unlock it . I personally use it very often and i like it . I hope this answer your question .
This car has got ok options,but it doesn't have cruise control. But it has got the optional 3 buttons for heating the windows and also Esp turn off. The digital climate controls are rare.
