@@alexdubmaster3477 nope you need proper mass airflow sensor cleaner for it. it evaporates so it doesn't leave any buildup in or around the sensitive sensor. CRC has mass airflow sensor cleaner usually not too expensive
If your car runs bad you should clean it. In general though, you should clean your maf once every couple of years, or every year if you drive in a dusty environment.
Oh man, I'm glad I saw this, I'm getting installed a cold air intake plus a muffler delete on my 2012 focus, so getting that sensor clean is crucial for better performance, thanks for the info. @ProjectDIY2
