Ford Focus Mk2 heater fan resistor replacement

The heater fan on my Focus MK2 stopped working in speeds 1 and 2 a few weeks ago and the usual culprit is the resistor. Ford Focus DIY repair #ford #fordfocus #fordfocus2

Had exactly identical problem to the video not working on 1 and 2 settings. I am the most impractical person but managed to do this following this fantastic video in about 45 mins. Thank you for the video

Eventually, 3 stops working...it's a pita to reach...now on my second replacement since '08 👍

Yes, almost as bad as the pólen filter but it was ok in the end.

love mk2 focus's so easy to work on don't really break even if they did you can probably fix it with a HAMMER

Yes. Some bits are not very easy to work one, but at least most stuff can be done at home and parts are cheap.

Yes i definitely agree most parts are worth nothing you can get a 1.6 petrol with 70 to 90 k on for £150 max and they are bulletproof @@GentilsGarage

Nice! And honestly as enjoyable to watch as take-off and landing of a lunar craft. Those screws were tedious. I had my fingers crossed and clapped at last one.

Does this affect the AC. My fan only works on 4 and the AC does not work.

Hey! Where is resistor location on focus mk2 wit automatic AC? I think it is on different location

@@GentilsGarage Found it. On car where steering wheel is on left, resistor is on divet side and you need to take gas pedal etc. off
