If your ford brakes have all of a sudden gone hard and find it very difficult to stop under normal braking chances are your servo assist is faulty.
This can come has a shock and potentially very dangerous. This can be repaired fairly easily but can be a costly repair unfortunately.

I can’t find the pump, do you have a direct link or name, tried servo assist nothing came up

Thanks for video. Seems to be my pump does make a vacuum bud despite that pedal is stiff after two or three time pressed on idle when stuck in the traffic, but working fine when vehicle is moving faster. Any idea where is the problem ?

Yes sure. It could still be the pump. Take off the hose while it’s running you may find there is a vacuum , but a reduced vacuum. See this quite a lot. So it builds up enough for one application. But not enough for one immediately after. Thanks for your comment l.

@@How2FixIt1 thought that way tho, but i can still feel vacuum on low rpm. Question is what volume of vacuum supposed to be there ? How to check

@Takie_Tam_Filmiki I normally put my finger over it. If it feels substantial then it’s OK. If there a little then it’s faulty. A bit like a vacuum cleaner I suppose.

Hi thank you so much for your video. I had the same issue. The brake goes hard after two or three pumps when idling but runs fine when engine revs high. After seeing your video I bought a vacuum gauge and measured the vacuum at 4psi when idling. I think it’s too weak, as a normal value should be around at least 12psi. So I probably should change the vacuum pump. Am I right? I would appreciate to hear your thoughts
