When checking the pistons height at TDC do you then drop the pistons down to lock them in to the crankshaft locking pin. I am currently building this type engine up but normally work on Plant which is gear timed.

hi Ajusa , i really do not understand the purpose os step 3 (look at this video at time 11:10). i think the purpose is to fastern the bolts. then why now you untighten them by 90 degree. m.b.s moshitoa (south africa)

Is the same motor that Ford S-Max and Ford Galaxy?.

Hi Alan, if you look at the starter motor on the opposite side from the camber, just above it there is a plastic plate, if you remove that plate there is a timing hole there for the crankshaft lock.
