Ford Mustang Convertible Top Frame Assembly 1983 GLX Foxbody Vert Drop Top Skeleton Bar Ebay Test VV 

I'm working on a '83 I replaced the pump I also replaced the resistors I believe they're called they're in the back One goes up one goes down like fuses but, I still can't get the top to go down. I'm wondering does the windows have to be down in order for the top to come down or does the e-brake have to be on? I've never owned a convertible so I'm not sure as to what the operation is

I have a question. I recently shattered the rear window on my top. I can’t seem to find any videos on how to replace it. Do you have any advice or tips and tricks? Thanks in advance!

Hey there, i have a question, i have a 91 Convertible Ive had since new,here recently i decided to do some maintenance out by the window,i had a small leak and I'm in the process of fixing it.where all the nuts go that hold the back window,there is a channel there below the window which i assume water travels thru there when it rains, attached to that channel there is a loooong piece of rubber/plastic,looks like siding thats stuck to that channel with a couple of rivets on each side and the rest of the piece is stuck down with butyl /strip caulking,what is that piece called and what is its function, it goes from one end to the other on the car, must be 5 feet long. The strip caulking is in really bad shape,the long strip of rubber is hanging off one side and all the shims that hold my sides and the window were installed really shitty by a previous installer, i was real careful and took them off one at a time and sandblasted them and painted them and i installed new nuts all around ,it looks great but i still need to install that big rubber piece,like i said i was jut wondering what it does and whats the name of it,i assume its not a easy piece to find. Just wanted to add,my car never came with those little drain pans i see for sale on eBay sometimes, im guessing in 91 and thereafter they didnt install those,i know they have a hose attached to them and they go below that channel i mention, mine doesn't have them, thank you for your time and input.

I have a problem in which i hope can help me. My 1983 mustang top slam shut. it slams so hard it broke two bolts on the trailing arm on the front section of the top. My question is this How do i stop it from slaming and i also need two bolts
