My 2014 Ford Escape with the 2.0 EcoBoost had a check engine light the day after I had it rustproofed for the first time with Krown (oil-based) Rust Protector. I had the code scanned, and it was a P0451 code, which meant evap. system. This shows you how to clean the fuel tank pressure sensor with Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner to fix the code. For me, the light turned off immediately on it's own. I didn't have to pull the battery or reset the computer at all. It's been off for a couple of days now.
I first tried brake cleaner, which can damage some rubbers and plastics. The sensor cleaner is a better way to go. It seems to happen on other Fords, so hopefully this can help someone else.
Sorry for the amateur camera work and audio.
