I have replaced many a gas cap for that code over the years. Cool how they did that, but can you imagine having to replace that assembly? Zoikes!

@@pstreetgarage7304 yeah, me too, is there a rubber gasket or something in there too? What specifically makes the seal? Is it just Plastic on plastic with a spring? does the door itself also make a seal? never troubleshot a capless system.
