That chase rack will fail the tub guys, I had first hand experience with the early 2012 model ADD chase rack mounted the same way failed the front section of the tub and cracked it. You need brackets going down to the tie down points to support the weight of the rack.
Great looking build. Unfortunately, I can't see the point except for that follow vehicle that you mentioned, which is a pity. Also, I'm a bit confused with the amount of vibrations that you have on the roof rack since it's mounted only on one side. I wouldn't put anything on it and go offroading without thinking all the time if something is going to break. Some support in the front wouldn't hurt. Same goes for the tire mount.
Great video and even greater product! I love it and was wondering if I can use it for my compilation? You will all the credits for your video of course!
Hi there. Nice set up. I know you said the wheel size is 17x8 Method 312's, but what's the offset? Do you now if these would rub with 33x12.5r17 BF K03's?
Just in front of the front diff pumpkin there is a square looking bracket that has a bolt running through it and is hooked to the front differential. What is that called? I caved in that square bracket that the diff has a bolt running Into. I can’t tell if I hurt anything else or not.
You've got all that heavy duty hardware added, and the only thing protecting your lower radiator from a rock is the factory bash plate which looks like it couldn't protect it from anything larger than loose gravel.
Great looking Rig have a couple of Questions - what size fender are they want to make sure i order the right ones are they 39 mm or 50 mm - Do you have an outlet in Perth WA - Will this fit the latest model FX4
I think those are 50mm, Yes we have outlets in Perth, check out this link for them (zoom out if on phone) offroadanimal.com.au/dealers-and-resellers/ Yes all this fits the latest FX4
id love some thing this but after speaking to ford dealer , the warranty is void with many modification, especially GVM upgrades, which this mod would need
I hate how no builder, no matter what company, no matter how much money we spend , ever uses anti seize on the mounting hardware. Try getting the bash plate or bull bar off after a year of 4wding ! Food for thought!
Tahcam cops aren’t that intense as they used to be a few years ago, yeah they’re still pretty damn bad but because the 4wd scene is starting to get huge in Aus much more is sliding under the radar
I don’t know about that spare tire carrier....6 bolts in the lip of the bed holding the spare tire and all the weight on the roof...heavy weight and serious off roading = disaster!
