Majority of people (including myself) would not do 98% of this in there rangers. Good to see it will stand up though. Solid video. Greetings from bitter cold saskatchewan.
For sure, I used to beat the crap out of my 06, running through mud ruts and salt water. These little trucks are durable though, all I had to do was replace ball joints myself. When I get my new Ranger I'll be easier on her for sure 😄
Until you've wheeled in snow in an almost new vehicle, you have no idea how scary it can be. Especially if it's your daily ride and you're not wealthy.
Wheeled in snow with a 2004 2wd open diff manual 4cyl ford ranger for 6 years. Scared to death everytime it was snowing, but im a better driver because of it now.
@@anormalhickgamer5782 meaning scary for our pocket book. Man speaks nothing but facts, nearly a 50k$ truck here in ca ( the new ranger) talking 80 for that gladiator
I have a Jeep JL & approve this message; really like all American nameplates. Only trucks I don’t like are Toyota, Nissan, & Honda Ridgeline (if that counts as a truck).
@@krasnaludek298 Amen brother. I refuse to send more corporate profits overseas. My first Ford truck was a 97 f-150 XLT and I put over 150k on it before I retired it from duty. I now own a 2021 Ranger Tremor with Lariat trim and I couldn't be happier. This thing does everything but make coffee for me in the morning lol. Perhaps one of those cool outfitter switches...
best offroad ranger content ive seen yet! you just gotta make sure you have that rear locker on when it comes to those articulate bits! i was struggling with a few spots like that totally forgetting about my locker. threw it on and i was coasting through
Hard to beat these trucks! Have best tech, frame & powertrain in its class! Lots guys turned in there Tacomas esp for Ranger Tremors at my local dealer!
I love this. True life. Not like another certain channel where Jeeps miraculously never get stuck. I’m saving this and will watch again at Christmas 🎄👍👍
I just bought a black 2021 Ranger Sport 4WD and this was a nice video to watch with a New England winter approaching. My 2007 FX4 could handle itself in many situations, but this proved that the new Ranger can truly handle the winter roads. I know the Sport isn't the FX4, which isn't the Tremor, but the Ranger spirit is ever present in these trucks. I used to have 1997 2WD Ranger that would have tried to tackle anything. I am almost looking forward to the first winter storm. Almost.
WOW, I am so impressed by the cinema photography. GoPro yes but the steps taken and the breathing is so awesome. Thank you for that experience. You put me me in the experience. Best movie short for 2022 Congrats... In my humble opinion. Doug from Bauline, Newfoundland. Bumb It is the off road way of life. Here's wishing you all a BUMB IT 2023......... God Bless your ride
Fun stuff to watch, nice to see there is a place to play in the truck back in the home town area although growing up there with a 2 wheel drive pickup in the snow was fun back in the 80s.
Just ordered the Fox 2.0 shock kit for my daily driver '19 Ranger XLT FX4. The stock suspension w/FX4 is very good but Fox set up makes it a true overlander. Stock powertrain needs nothing! Love it. Get 20mpgs city/24 highway. Super smooth 10spd tranny (from F150 no changes just tune). Dana axles stock. Drive modes in 4wd. T6 frame super stout. 3yrs ive owned it & still impressed by it daily. #RangerLife
I'm surprised at what my ranger can accomplish. FYI, the terrain management turns the front open diff into a "LSD" by applying the brakes to the one spinning wheel. It works pretty good when stuck, itll even turn the steering wheel back and forth on its own.
Looked like that Ranger had front locker coming up the hill both front wheels spinning up the hill at same speed - if that is all TM/TC doing that it's impressive.
Enjoyed the video, I just picked up a Ranger (not for off-road though, mainly mild towing) and my wife has a JKU so we get to watch others do what we don't dare do. In fact, if there is mild snow on the roads here, I'll have my Focus out in it before the Ranger as it has already proven better than the Jeep, but the Focus' trick AWD system and factory optioned snow tires does help it be better. Not if there is over 4" (the low ground clearance of the Focus), which is really rare here, I'll use the Ranger.
Chains and the Ranger would have been a beast. My Supercab has 2 gas cans behind wheel wells for a little weight. 2.5 Fox lift, Ford power chip tune, performance catted down pipe Gibson cat back and spare tire gas tank are on the list.
Supercab Power! Love when people have more interest in capabilities vs. carrying more people that never actually happens. Id love to have your set up. Im close tho in my 2017 F150. Supercab of course.
@GSD Fan How long did the wait take? I ordered my 2022 xlt supercab fx4 3 weeks ago, but now their closing plants and pushing back production. It's looking like I won't see my truck till June-July
What mods did the ranger get? I'm just getting around to putting a 3" lift and then -12 offset rims with 33" tire. Curious about others and the mods they have done.
a tremor miraculously showed up at my local dealer. snatched it up real quick! hurricane season is here and i cant wait to see what mess i can get into.
If its anything like my F150, which its either equal or better, the trac control will make the front work as a limited slip dif using brake controls. Its pretty good too. Ive seen it happen. Same in 2wd for rear with trac control on.
@@boost_too OK, thanks. So when you were selecting 4wd, your turned the knob to select 4WD H and also you said the rear locker was engaged, I'm learning too. That would not enable terrain management I believe.
@@boost_too I wonder if the Kenda Klever RT in 35x10.5R17 would fit? I’m at 2.4 Old Man Emu and am contemplating pulling out my saw. I’m going to see if can make it happen in the OEM wheels but not sure if it’s possible. Man you’ve got an awesome rig!
Awesome video, and bitchin truck! '21 lariat supercab here, and loving it.... Are you wearing spacers? ? ?... would love to sport 285's without them..... keep on keeping on 🤙
@@boost_too might need to go too 10 psi lol those tires looked pretty hard when you went over that rock i have ko2 on mine and they are pretty soft at 16 psi
Yeah snow wheeling is a pass for me. Some hero moments in there but some gut punches too. Was the diff locked? Looked open in one of the climbs. Guessing best to leave it open in the snow till needed? Never driven in snow even on paved roads lol So Cal raised. Granted snow on the sides of the road but not ON the road let alone trails
