I have daily driven this truck for 1000 miles now and have found some things that i wish were different, things i'm not happy with and TONS of stuff i absolutely LOVE about it. It's a long video but there is so much to cover! Cheers.
I'm a Chevy man and would take a ZR2, but Ranger Raptor is an amazing off-road truck. You can't go wrong with any of these new off-roaders, really. Congrats on your new ride!
I am with you on this one. I love the Colorado ZR2, it is great and that 2.7 motor is great and will last 200K+ miles! it all comes down to what you like and what you are comfortable with... my dad is a GMC/Chevy guy and he was sad that I went with a ford hahaha.
thank you so much... i finished it last night kind of late and didn't realize i left so many huge gaps in the sound, sorry for that! I will be installing my little front amber lights as soon as they arrive and i will go in depth into it but i can put a quick video together with how many amps each one is and where the wiring can be found on the truck soooner. Cheers
I paid the same 2k over for mine too. I didn't want to go through the whole years long waiting BS I went through with trying to order my Bronco. So about 3 weeks ago, I searched nationwide and had found one that was built and still available, but not yet shipped, as of now mine is still in transit, so I am enjoying mine vicariously through your great videos. Thanks for sharing your Raptor!
Right on... some people will say we are crazy but then again, we know what we want and to us it is worth it. To each their own and I am 100% with you in not wanting to wait a year to get the truck I have been watching in the rest of the world for the last 3 years that is finally here. Cheers and good luck on a speedy delivery of your truck!
Good review! If you can, take this truck to the desert or some of the backcountry roads in the West. This is where this truck truly comes alive. My Raptor 37 is an amazing machine on road but once you leave the pavement, the beast really wakes up and will leave you speechless.
15.2 smiles per gallon isnt bad during the break in period. Should go up for the next thousand miles. The only thing that the truck is missing are rear AC vents, and cooled seats. Besides that its such a beast of a truck! Exhaust note is do addicting that even in quiet mode it makes you want to mash on the pedal. Transmission shifts sounds like a F1 car lol I test drove the zr2 and it felt dull and cheap with a lift and bigger tires. Def buying my Raptor. 😊
Awesome video and review. I watched a ton of videos doing my research while I’m waiting on mine to be built and shipped, and you sir just blew all the other “reviews” out of the water. 90% of these videos with a ton of subs are trash . You nailed it and definitely got a sub your channel deserves to blow up. Keep up the good work man. Thanks for the amazing review.
Thanks for the legit and true review! None of the marketing overhype, a real world actual review and you're 100% spot on. It's easy to find things to complain about anything but the improvements RR needs is so bare minimum it feels like we're grasping at straws haha. I'd 100% buy one again. We need about 6-12 months for Ford and aftermarket manufacturers to get some parts going! In AUS, Ford even offers an air compressor that you can install to the truck... If people are into towing and hauling stuff, this is NOT the vehicle for you. NONE of the Raptors are. Raptors are NOT a hauling/towing machine. Need some quick store runs for yard work (soil/mulch etc) or wood projects? RR will definitely do that for you, I loaded up the bed from Lowe's just yesterday and it works just fine.
wow, that would be cool to get a FOMOCO compressor that has a specific mounting solution for the truck here in the US... I am currently just rolling with my battery powered dewalt compressor in the back seat but will likely get an ARB onboard compressor soon and mount it either in the bed or under the hood. I agree that this truck is just about perfect, but like anything, there is always room for improvement, nothing that would turn me away, but things that would be nice to have. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate the support! I can't compete with the big name reviewers with their comparison videos and access to trails and cameramen but I can give my opinion in as succinct a way as possible! As for using the ranger for towing, I agree, I don't not intend to do that. but I'm all about loading dirt, tree stumps and other household chore stuff in there!
I have one on order. No build date yet but i didnt order until early August. I really enjoy your videos. So many questions i wanted answered by an actual owner are in you videos. I'm a little jealous now 😊. Thanks for putting out the videos. Good job.
I’m in Canada and my local dealership just got the RR on the lot. Just got back from test driving it out. Super nice truck just crazy expensive $81k plus 15 tax is disgusting. On the fence ATM.. the wife may kill me if I pull the trigger. Haha I’ve been binge watching your videos. Keep up the detailed reviews I very much appreciate them.
Wow, that is a lot for a midsize truck, but I do love mine so who knows... it may be worth it. But just remember, happy wife happy life! my wife is a good sport fortunately so while she wasn't thrilled she wasn't too mad either... she did buy a horse for our daughters without telling me so this is just evening everything up! haha.
My Colorado Trail Boss with 310hp and calibrated to 430# torque in 4 wheel auto does it in 6.8 not as quick as Raptor Ranger but still quick for a big midsize truck, I’m waiting for a cold air intake!
that 2.7L engine in the Colorado is no joke... i love chevy trucks. The colorado looks amazing and it is super capable off road on the technical trails, i think that is where it excels past the ranger for sure.
@@joshpittman6021 haha, i do remember that about my old 2008 Tacomas, they were both dogs from a stop but super smooth and comfortable and they could keep up with a lot of the jeeps on the trails when the going got tough... and they are built like tanks... completely over-engineered drivetrain in a good way. I'm surprised i dont see more bolt on supercharger kits on tacomas because they have potential to make good power from what i understand.
Thanks, that was what I was shooting for. I have been on the buying side (and was for this before I got it too) and I know what I wanted to know about so I am trying to focus on that. you can see drag races and off-road trail rides next to a ZR2 on the big channels so I am not trying to recreate that, nor could I! thanks again. Cheers.
5,000km+ into the ownership of mine, Middle East specs are slightly different to what you get but also quite pleased with it! Our get the grab handle at least!
that's good to know... i didn't realize that the grab handle was something on the other spec vehicles... i would have loved to have that. Have you had any issues with yours over 5,000km?
great review! i have had mine almost a week, almost 300 miles on it. i am greatly enjoying it. i am with you, some small complaints, but it is still to early to tell. i did notice at least twice there was a delay for the tablet to come on, once it stayed black for a while yet i had sound, it has not done it again, will have to watch that closely. all these electronics you can expect some glitches here and there. i love i can maneuver it easier compared to my past F150's, Tremor and F250. i too paid approx. 2k over MSRP but i did not order this truck, i lucked out and found one 3 hours away from me.
Every factory demo event I have seen over the LAST YEAR has the leather mis-cut and bunched up. I attached a note to as many YT videos as possible about it. How can all their top engineers and managers be driving these vehicles and not throw up a red flag? What else are the missing….your list is a start. Hello Mr Quality!
wow, that is crazy. thanks for the info and I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue and I plan on following up and making sure I get it fixed because it is totally something they should fix for me! Cheers
Wow this is the best review I've seen! I just got my diesel one today and absolutely loving it. It's right hand drive and a Thailand spec. This is a great review, I've watched a ton of these and this is definitely the best one online. Love that you were driving while reviewing. Kept it very interesting. You've got a new subscriber all the way in Antigua (West Indies). Keep up the good work, boss.
Wow, thank you so much for the comment. I wish they had a diesel option here in the US. Better torque and better mileage, sign me up. Cheers and thanks for the sub from around the other side of the globe! I really want to visit the West Indies at some point!
Great vids, waiting on my Raptor. A few things have have nots asia vs usa #1 no handle on drivers side A post #2 no usb plug in on the passangers side of the mirror cluster for dash cam #3 no hood struts though I have seen some ausie vids where they have struts near the hood hindges. Keep the vids coming. Thanks Craig SLC
interesting observations, thanks. I have a list of differences and I am adding this to that list. I think I will be buying some of the struts for the hood, they are super easy to install and they work great and look great. Cheers.
This video makes me wish I ordered one when the banks first opened lol. Now I have to find a dealer with an allocation that will allow MSRP, and then wait who knows how long. Enjoy yours!
Hopefully you are able to get one at MSRP! If you are patient you should be able to find one, especially if you are willing to travel to get it! Cheers
That's a great idea, thank you. I am looking at a few different options and I will absolutely put something out with all the different thing I looked at and why I pick the one that I do... right now it is looking like either trax or lock-n-roll with rail system but we shall see. Cheers.
i'm glad you got something out of it... I have had a blast with this truck and there are SO many cool features and little bits of engineering that i have noticed and i wanted to share it! i just realized i left some seriously long gaps in the audio when i finished editing it last night, sorry about that part. Cheers!
Thanks for that info... i didn't want to throw out any info i hadn't had confirmed so this is great to know. I guess ford did their research and made these changes for a reason.
What a thoughtful review... finally a truck/car enthuaiast not just someone doing the hot take... the backseat details and real world examples got me subscribed.. hope to see new updates and the journey.. i wish the audio of the raptor had more bass, a better subwoofer .. i know its not truck like" im just wishin on a star tho"😅
Thanks so much. I ended up swapping out the factory subwoofer with a powered kicker 8 inch hideaway sub and it fit really well behind the back seat and is held in by the jack… it was meant to be and now the audio is just the way I like it!
I’m in Europe and our Ranger Raptor has all the things your North American variant doesn’t, AC air vents in the back, painted drive shaft, and grab handle on the driver side A-pillar. Must be beancounters responsible for those missing features in yours’.
that is crazy... I lived in SoCal back when the Focus RS came out and I ended up flying to Durango CO to buy my RS to avoid the crazy cali markups and drove it home. Worth the flight and it was a fun drive home too. Cheers.
I notice here in the Philppines that gas cap cover is not dependent or separate opener. When you fuel to the gas station you cannot open separately instead you will unlock all doors then you can access to open the gas cap. Its risky to all car owner. What if there is bad guy then they can open all doors then steal your things or steal your car while refuel. Ford should put push button special to gas cap cover. Not on dependent on the unlock all doors. My sister has Ford Everest 2007 model Automatic 4x2. Separate opener. When I refuel I will push the button all doors are lock. So its safe for me and the passenger. But today All Ford Everest, Ranger and Ranger Raptor 2023 are the same. You must unclock all doors then the gas cap is open.
that is an interesting perspective that i had not thought of. i have never locked my car while fueling it up, only if i am inside the store getting a drink or something. That might be the reason they do it the way our trucks are in the US. thank you for that reasoning, it adds light to the decisions the engineers made when they made the change!
We have most of what you say is missing in Australia. As far as the speed limit function. All I have to do to negate that auto slow down when it reads a lower speed limit is put my foot back on the gas. That disengages the cruise control and puts it back to normal mode.
That is interesting about the LIM function on your vehicle… in cruise control we can always put foot on gas to go faster but the LIM disengages the cruise control all together and makes it so even with your gas pedal all the way to the floor it won’t go any faster than what the LIM feature is set to and using the brake doesn’t disengage it either.
Australia gets rear air vents but no household plug. We get painted driveshafts but no buttons on door to unlock like the US version. We don't get the sliding rear glass and no household plug in the tray. Different colours to the US so no cool green like yours. We also don't get the light cluster above the tray or just above the sliding rear glass.
For the headlights going up and down I believe they will lower or raise to the height of a car in front of u like top of the trunk but no higher so that they don’t shine in their review mirror as long as ur not to far away
@@flaberdoopin I’m definitely not 1000% on this but I do believe it’s something I’ve noticed and not imagined. I haven’t actually seen the light move to position however it does seem to sit at an appropriate height on the vehicle in front.
@@keithhunt3437 you know, now that you mention it, i have noticed that the lights lower down to the level of the trunk of the vehicle ahead, i thought that was the auto highbeams turning off and it was super confusing because i didn't think they were on, but that had to be this feature doing it's thing!
Thing is a locking cover for gas tank can be easily pryed open in secs , so not only can someone steal the gas or pour something in tank , now you need to get new fuel door and locking mechanism that really didn't help .
I hadn't really thought of that, but you are right... in the end, an A-Hole is going to get into the gas tank one way or another, i just like the idea of keeping the lazy thug away.
I do too, it is what I am used to and what I am comfortable with, but then again, these will never rust or seize up on the drain plug so I'm trying to be optimistic!
You do know they put AC outlets under the seats? No they aren't in back seat center console, but I watched a few videos that say US Ranger Raptor has them under the front seats.
I mean, i am a charming human being and i pay for the things i want. I wear 20 year old jeans and some ratty tee shirts, but when it comes to vehicles i have no self control!
when i had a drop in bed liner in one of my old S-10s it ended up completely wearing down the paint on the bed rails and in the corners of the bed when i took it out, maybe that isn't a problem anymore but i have had the spray in as well on my old gladiator and it was good looking and i just pressure washed it to clean it.
I was thinking the same thing, especially with some of the deals around the country trying to make these trucks up 10-20K and even more in some areas like Las Vegas and Southern California!
Oh something I thought I would ask about since mine is not here yet. Is there anything behind the bumper / license tag area that would prevent moving that trailer plug setup from under the bumper to up inside the bumper next to the tag where most of them are typically located to protect them. I am guessing Ford put it on the bottom since it is a global truck and some countries have extra wide plates that take up that whole space in the bumper. I am thinking of relocating mine if it is possible.
that is a great question. I am in NY right now without my truck until Friday, but when I get home Friday morning I will take a look and see what it looks like... I will also look through some of my footage this evening to see if I got a glancing shot from under the truck towards the rear end to see if it's visible. Cheers.
Wow dude you really know your shit 😊 I felt like I needed to keep notes while watching this. For starters the heated steering wheel and rear window are not in mine 😞 That’s all good though. I watched your other vid sound 0- 60 runs thinking WTF then I realized you guys use Miles per hour 😆 Getting good times bro ☝🏼 Have you noticed that when you change to a different mode the lighting changes on all the screens ? Sports mode the blacks are on the slippery mode light blue accents all round. So good !! Have you had probs with apple CarPlay connecting ? Sometimes mine takes ages to connect. It basically self drives but keeps cutting in telling you to put your hands on the wheel. On the freeway I have to jiggle the wheel every 15 seconds. I can’t wait to see what you guys (Americans) are going to with this beast 👍🏼 Plenty of Aussies have tried and failed with a better sounding exhaust. Sorry to carry on but enjoyed chatting with you ✊🏼 My fav settings (R mode) for off road is sports mode, Baja exhaust, Baja shocks, traction off, start stop off and Two wheel drive Absolutely amazing 🤩 Love your work 👍🏼
haha, 5.6 0-60 KPM would be less than impressive haha. but if said 0-100 here in the states at 5.6 we would be talking serious fast sports car. First of all, thank you for the comment and all of the information. i hadn't really noticed the different color schemes in the different modes, i will have to keep an eye out for that, i guess i noticed that sport mode was white, but i didn't know every mode changed it. I have had a few issues with carplay connecting, but i have gotten used to going into the settings on the tablet and disconnecting and reconnecting the phone to get it to work, annoying for sure, but it has worked every time after that for me. And i do the same on the freeway with the lane assist... just give the wheel a little shake and good for another quarter minute. what was the best exhaust you have heard? to be honest, if Remus comes out with something, that is the only thing i would make me want to switch from stock unless you have some other recommendation you have heard in person. your R setting sounds perfect... i may give that a try next time i am out on the dirt. sounds like a blast and you can get sideways without the nannies trying to correct it for you! Cheers.
it is 100% laziness... I need to take the 30 seconds to get it programmed and get the clip on garage door opener out of my truck. now that you noticed it I will get on it haha.
So if you’re using the speed limit feature you can’t pump the gas once to over ride it? Seems like that would have been the way they should have gone with it.
While I was driving it didn’t go over but I never pumped the gas to the floor, the manual says that is in fact how it works so I will test that on my drive home today.
Great videos! Im in the market right now, so you're content is really helping me know what I'll be getting into. Does this truck have auto brake hold? I find that option is great during stop and go traffic. Thanks!
the option for auto brake hold is there in the settings but i haven't played with it yet. I just use the adaptive cruise control and that does it for me. And i am used to letting off the brake and having the truck roll a bit so the auto brake hold throws me off a bit (i had it in my 2020 explorer)
I got the amber market lights from a company called indicarbon… www.indicarbon.com/store/p/ford-ranger-raptor-next-gen-grill-lights-amber/white and I did some videos of the installs already but I’ll do one full video of the entire stereo upgrade this week covering all of the wiring and different components.
I haven’t found the skid plates I want to go with yet. I’m doing the ford ranger raptor assault school in 2 months and I’m going to talk to some of those guys out there about it to see what they think. I know there are some companies in the states that have a gas tank skid plate and a kit that covers the transmission and transfer case. I’m waiting for a single company to make one big kit.
Did they ever mention to you about the engine break in period when new? Usually until the first 1000 miles you want to not get on it and keep rpms under 2500. Hopefully you haven't hurt your engine doing all this hard driving with it so early. Sure you have warranty but you also have all these videos that Ford could say well you were to hard on it.
I’ve had my Colorado Trail Boss for about a year I just now have 3k miles on it, I didn’t floor mine till I had 1k miles, 500 is good but I’ve already paid off my truck and plan on keeping it, I still own my 02 Silverado I bought new, so yea I don’t get a new truck every other year!
i have talked to a few different people about this and it is interesting because i have had fantastic mechanics that say you should get on it hard in the beginning to seat the piston rings and others say you should slowly break it in. I know that up until the early 2000's it was widely accepted that you had to ease into the breakin but with the metal working abilities of today a lot of people have told me that the break in period is a thing of the past. I tried my best to take it easy for the first 500 miles but it is just so much fun! your point is valid and i do plan on keeping this truck forever so i want it to last but my inner child got the better of me and i had to go rip it around!
@@flaberdoopin trust me I get it, I have a brand new Bronco Badlands Sasquatch with the V6 and that's all I want to do as well but am controlling myself lol
I'll try to wear shoes next time and you would not regret getting the ranger raptor unless you really do have a need for a full size truck or you really need to use your truck for towing... if you need that, I would consider some other options unless you are willing to accept the limitations of the Raptor for those uses. Good luck. cheers!
I have greatly enjoyed your journey with your new Raptor. I did the same thing as you did. I saw one on the ground at a dealer in Delaware and drove from MD to get it. They gave me a great deal on trading my 2-month-old 2 door Bronco Wildtrak. The raptor is so comfortable and fun. I do have one question for you. The dealer ordered a license plate bracket for the front, but it has not come in yet. I ordered one from Amazon that is of the right design but does not fit properly. Where did your bracket come from? Was it already installed by the dealer? I would love to run without one, but MD requires a front plate, so I am forced to muck up the clean lines. I have watched all your videos, this one just happened to pop up today, so it is where I chose to post my comment. Keep posting, I am enjoying you rvideos.
the bracket for my license plate was in the truck with all the floor mats and other stuff, I thought they all came with it but maybe the dealer ordered it... I know in a lot of states like Florida for example, you don't need a front plate so maybe it isn't standard. It was not installed on the truck when I got there, but I went out with them to look at it because if it was going to have to drill into the bumper I was going to tell them not to do it, but it just snaps on top and screws into pre threaded holes under the lower rail so it was easy. Hope you get your plate holder soon! cheers.
i too live in a state requiring a front plate, the dealership did not have one so i ordered it from my local Ford parts department. it was expensive!! 141 bucks for what i am sure is a plastic bracket. i did have a lot of Ford points so it was not money directly out of pocket. the RR comes with so much stuff. mine had a sprayed in liner, only accessory i have to get now is a bed cover.
I know the guys in the rest of the world are having a lot of luck with the reliability. we have only had it for a month in the United States but the same motor is in the Explorer ST and they are going strong and have been in use since 2020. I think it is too early to tell but the signs are good. there will always be outliers but i have confidence based on the data i can gather.
absolutly, there is a separate little button down on the center console that disables and activates the auto start stop separate from any other settings to the vehicle.
I think I understand your question and the answer is yes, you can set your "R" settings and then every time you get in the truck and start it you just apply your R settings and it goes back to what you set... but if you do nothing it will always start in normal mode.
My mobile plan is with Verizon so I don't know about if you were adding it to an existing ATT plan, but I believe it would still be 20. I signed up through the ford app on my phone and it draws 20 from my credit card each month. hope that answers your question. Cheers
Also, how are your kids fitting in the rear seat. I have a young daughter( 5 years old) she’s in a booster/car seat hybrid. This will be my daily driver.
booster would be no problem... i fit 3 car seats across in my old Focus RS so i know they will fit in here too... my daughers are 9 12 and 14 and they say this back seat is more comfortable than my M3 or my Gladiator was. but they still like my wifes minivan more haha
@@flaberdoopin thank you so much again I really appreciate it. My Raptor arrived at the dealer today. Will probably grab it early next week. Another question for you…. What do you plan on using to paint your driveshaft? I know you mentioned you were thinking about doing that. Have you heard of Por-15? Seems to be a great product.
Manual says 1000 miles but I gave up on breaking it in after about 500 haha. It seems to be doing great but who knows. I have heard a lot of smart mechanics say that break in is a thing of the past
Ok just wondering I haven’t gotten close to the mpg yet what they advertised on them and I kept getting told it’s not broken in yet and all the excuse not in a mean even tried filling up somewhere else and put 87 octane 100% gas no ethanol and noticed nothing yet ?
I am getting pretty poor mileage so far and I’m almost at 2000 miles. Current tank average is around 15 but I have been driving it kind of hard so not too surprising
What happens when that screen goes out and you need your locker? Some decisions these engineers make really makes me question their qualification to design $60k trucks
Then you use the drive mode wheel to engage them... on the off chance and if this incredibly rare /made up circumstance arises. This is the dumbest comment by someone who has clearly never driven offroad. How are you going to use your air lockers if your compressor fails? How are you going to use your lockers if your button fails? All stupid.
@Red_Beard_Actual lol. Sure bud. I drive a ram 1500 and e39 M5. But I'm a ford fan boy. I bet you listen to all these reviewers who recommend hooking a winch to the aux switches. 😂
@@Red_Beard_ActualI mean, if Chevy made something cooler and more fun to drive I’d be willing to give it a shot but as it stands I’m sticking with the Ranger. I have had s-10s, Sonomas, tacomas, a gladiator, several BMWs and a few fords, I like them all but at the moment, the Ranger raptor is the cool kid on the block and it hurts the ZR2 guys tender feelings. It’s all good. One day they may put a v6 back in their midsize truck.
I bought the kit from indication.com. the pictures are for a different looking grill but the install video shows the 3 light setup. I will let you know how it looks once I get it installed and wired up!
I do have 3 kids but they are all out of car seats. I used to have rear facing seats so I can tell you from my previous experience that it would fit no problem behind the pax seat with the seat forward a bit but I’ll go to target and get some measurements today and let you know how far forward it would need to be
@@flaberdoopin Thanks! I have a deposit on a blue Raptor that’s suppose to come next week. But my wife is pregnant with our first and we are planning on having a second next year. So I’m hoping I can get away with rear facing car seats in it without the seats being super far forward.
@@Mc.Nuggetz I wasn't able to get to target but i can measure the back seat but i can tell you that i fit rear facing seats in the back of my Ford Focus and the ranger is bigger than that so you will be able to make it work easy! Congrats on the addition to the family (the blue raptor)... and also the baby too i guess. haha
Does the transmission oil usually stay at 210?! That's really hot and is making me rethink about buying my Ranger Raptor which will be delivered in a few weeks.
Quick google search shows average trans temp is 175-225 degrees Fahrenheit, so it is on the warmer side but in range and I would assume FOMOCO planned for it and uses appropriate materials and high temp fluid
@flaberdoopin If the plastic if thick then you shouldn't worry about it. I worked on a few Fords and noticed the plastic quality isn't no where as thin as German vehicles.
@flaberdoopin Hmm that makes sense. Trans oils get hotter when the transmission constantly shifts and with a 10 speed its shifting more than normal. Id probably change the oil on the transmission cause it also has a break in period. Might run cooler after removing all the micro metals in the oil after breaking it in but dont quote me on that 🤔
great idea... i think i will do that, but for trans flush it takes a special machine doesnt it? not something that can easially be done at home like engine and transfer case fluids and the diffs from what i remember.
No update on the seats unfortunately. I will swing by the dealer on Monday since I have the day off to follow up in person instead of trying to get someone on the phone again.
hahaha, happy wife happy life. I enjoy being married... but I will end up buying the stuff I want within a few months when the initial shock from the new car wears off on her haha.
They aren’t as quick or punchy or smooth over bumpy terrain at speed from what I have seen but they are extremely capable on technical trails. I think the Ranger is a more fun truck and if you are coming from a sporty car, the Ranger raptor is the best choice
hahaha, you are right... my wife won't let me get into bed until I take a shower... I know I need to wear shoes but I love walking around barefoot... till I step in dog poop, then it sucks!
@@Vito_Caligiuri I must of hurt you in someway. Sport television games/video games won’t save you from the outside world. Don’t be so sensitive toughen up
@@NeverFollowTheCrowd idk what sport video games have to do with anything, but there’s a lot of German vehicles that are great, not just for white girls.
I am more comfortable with metal oil pans but I guess I will see how these work for me. if I see some aftermarket pans made of metal I may be going that way... but who knows, maybe plastic is the way of the future.
