Welcome back to the channel, in this video I make a start on the Ford Ranger T6 chassis frame repairs that were highlighted in the last video
It really is in terrible condition for its age but we just need to get it back on the road so have proceeded with the repair, ill be keeping a close eye on everything over the next few months just to check for any potential future problems but as mentioned before this really does need a replacement chassis frame

WOW, I thought my 2011 ranger was bad but it don't look that bad now I have seen yours.

Really good work, even when you've said that this repairs won't last an eternity and won't be better than a new chassis, i do believe it will be good as long as one from the factory.. and the cross memeber you add seems to be a lot stronger thand the old one.. Keep it up ! :D

the cross member is probably a bit overkill but it was the easiest and cheapest solution as it was already on hand, its not going to last forever (except the x member lol) but it should be safe enough to go back on the road for a while thanks for your kind comments

yep, ill be using some Noxudol 700 as it creeps well and neutralises the rust too

This is inspiration. I have my step dads S-10 that he bought new and needs some frame work. I def think i can pull it off, maybe not as nice as your work though.

Wow I'm amazed how bad it is. The earlier chassis 2012-2016 were ok ish for rust. The later ones 2016-2020 are horrendous for rust problems. There are 4 year old rangers failing MOT for corrosion. Are you able to lift the body and have a good look along the top of the chassis rails and around the front strut areas.

the front doesn't seem to be as bad although I'll give it a good look over once the back is finished, they certainly seem to have a serious rust issue from what I've read online

You might get more viewers if you showed more fabrication.. Showing things finished and chatting about the work you've already done isn't that interesting..
