@@BetsyKarr yes just do it I left Fords 3 years ago Toyotas are amazing just keep in mind the quality is dependent on where it's made I would recommend not getting one from the Alabama plant

mrrandy1 that sucks, what do you have now? What do you think about Tesla’s CyberTruck? Repairs for my truck are so slow, the entire month of November I had the truck 4 days, the rest of the month it’s been at the service dealer, I’m ready to get rid of it.

FoundOnRoadDead that's what they are Fords a corporation now they don't care about customers experience I learned that the hard way after 3 explorers 2 Ford Rangers and 3 Econoline vans and 1 F150 I only miss the 2 Crown vics being the only reliable builds

I'm sorry, I know the feeling. I had the same transmission and shifting issues. My truck left me stranded 5 times, spent over 180 days in service, at 5 different dealers. I hope your issues get resolved

Yes, the transmission again. I got it back the second time but there's oil leaks so need to take it in for the 3rd time :-(

I highly recommend joining Facebook groups and see posts from other owners. In some groups, they'll allow posts to stay up of people expressing their frustrations with their new trucks. My experience has been terrible. My truck has broken five times, the transmission has been replaced twice and the transfer case once. The truck has been at a dealer anywhere from three weeks to three and a half months. In total it has been at a service dealer 180 days. The dealers are independently owned and their service has been terrible, they give Ford a bad reputation and because of that, I would never get another Ford. I don't want to have a car that gives me a ton of problems and on top of it go get mistreated and yelled at * no exaggeration.* My experience has been terrible. If you do get a Raptor, I hope it turns out to be the absolute best car and join groups. Go on Raptor Runs and meet other Raptor owners.

David Landry I think what happened to yours is what happened to mine when the transmission was replaced the first time. I think overfilling was the issue when the transmission broke the second time. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much luck getting it fixed. I’ve been dealing with Ford corporate since the second time it broke and as of now, I’m working with them on moving forward with a buy back. I took the truck back to the service dealer for the 4th time mid December and it’s still there. The dealer said they’re unable to fix it 😞

My heart is broken too :-( this truck has left me stranded on five different occasions. I also have a few friends with Ford Raptors and three of them have started to have issues with their gen 2's.

​@behexen250 Thank you so much for this. Since the first time the truck broke down, it's been in and out of the service dealer. As of now, the truck has broken down 5 times and has been in repair for over 160 days. Because the truck gets towed to the nearest dealer of where it breaks down, that's 5 different dealers that have had it. The last time it broke, Ford sent an engineer to take a look and the engineer said the truck had been fixed. Fast forward a week and a half later, I'm stranded on the highway with a broken transmission.

Did you get your truck back? They were never able to figure out my issue. The truck left me stranded 5 times, it was at 5 different dealers because I would get towed to the nearest dealer from I was left stranded. The transmission was replaced twice, and another part but I forgot what that was. The truck would jerk past a certain speed and when the mechanics tried to recreate the problem they couldn't and would send me home telling me it was fine and then a few days later it would break down.

@@BetsyKarr yes I got it back after the dealer had it for a month and they said they couldn’t duplicate the issue. So ridiculous

Betsy Karr Hiking I have a 2018 tundra. Don’t go test drive one unless you want those basic boring and outdated truck on the market lol.

@@pjrodriguez9755 😂😂hahahaha oh man, it seems like people have been saying that Tundras are great but if you have one and don't like it.... What do you think about a Ram Rebel? The Rebel is what got me looking into trucks, the interior is nice, I would say almost nicer than the Raptors interior.

Betsy Karr Hiking I am between either the raptor or the new rebel myself! The raptor is my dream truck and I think the exterior is nicer, but the rebel interior I think is nicer, and it doesn’t suffer some of the potential fatal flaws of the raptor. You should look up kid Richmond’s channel. He had a raptor, got rid of it because issues similar to yours, then he traded it for a new tundra, then quickly got rid of it for a new rebel. He says the rebel is the best truck he’s owned (so far) you should check out his video on the raptor it’s really good! He’s also a pro stunt driver .

Yeah, they say anything can be fixed, but trying to get them to fix it is worse than the actual break down! Good luck on your vehicle search, there is a lot to choose from. 😀

@@erikracz4162 You couldn't have said it better.. Even if under warranty, getting a dealer to take in the truck and do the repair properly is worse than breaking down. I wish you nothing but good vibes with your truck. She will be great to you and redeem herself for the experience you had with the Gen 1.

Join groups on Facebook and see what others have to say. My experience owning a Ford was not good and I would never purchase another. I have friends who have had very similar experiences with their Ford vehicles. The unfortunate part wasn't necessarily the issues with the truck but the treatment from their service dealers.

C0r33n45 4 breakdowns and they e never given me a loaner. Ford subcontracts to Enterprise so I’ve driven a Chevy Malibu, a Mitsubishi, a Toyota, and now a Ford Escape. I haven’t been able to get anything comparable to a truck and its been inconvenient but looking forward to not dealing with this anymore.

Treinta Ocho I think it’s the coolest truck on the road. It’s a lot of fun with a wonderful community of Raptor owners. If you love the truck, get it, enjoy it and join Raptor events. I think the best way to enjoy the truck is taking it out for adventures.I was unlucky and got a bad one but there’s plenty of people who stand by their Raptor. Likewise there’s others like me that have had a bad experience. I would recommend getting an extended warranty and find a good dealer near you that you can trust if you need repairs.

I have a 2019 with 14k miles, I drive it very hard and off road it. I also have an engine tune done to mine and I have had absolutely zero problems with mine. It’s impossible to make every car perfectly, it happens to every model from every manufacturer. For every car out there, there is someone with a bad experience with it. It happens. But I absolutely love mine would highly recommend it

Wait for the 7.3 Raptor and get a power wagon in the interim. :)

Sorry you’re having trouble, i understand the frustration. This truck was a total nightmare, it left me stranded five times. It had two transmissions replaced, differential, and transfer case. It spent over 180 days at a service dealer and every time I’d get it back, I’d have it for a week before it left me stranded on the side of the road. Total nightmare.

They need better employees they can't make good products anymore or buy something else import truck as far as domestic cars yes all of them never buying one ever again

@@BetsyKarr trust me it will be a while..I quickly got rid of my 19 F-150 so I didnt loose that much..but you have a Raptor that depreciates not as much..be watching your vids to see what happens..

Hi David! I'm working on getting a happy resolution because I've lost all faith in this truck. I purchased the truck out of state and based on that state's law, this truck is close to meeting their lemon law. We will see what happens. Before any of this happened, I had planned on taking the truck to Galpin for all future services. Because i've been on the road both times the truck broken down my only choice was to take it to the nearest Ford dealer. I did try to get Ford to tow the truck to my nearest dealer the first time the transmission broke but they said no. Based on this experience, it seems like dealers don't want to take warranty work for whatever reason. I'll keep you posted. Thank you for all of your advice and guidance

Had you taken the time to read the comments from Ford Raptor owners speaking up about their issues, you could've saved yourself the time of leaving this silly comment . I have three friends who also own Ford Raptors and they've had non-stop issues. The only absurd thing is a 75k truck that's complete junk.

Ok. You are right about me being rude. My apology. But I will insist, nothing is wrong with the truck. Check the reviews in general. I am not saying that this vehicle is trouble free. Every car has its own pitfalls, but that is not the reason to call it a "junk". That is also incredible rude. This is one of the baddest trucks in the market today, and its price is only a reflection of its performance. There are certains machines that are not for everyone, and this one is obviously not for you. This is why I mentioned the donkey ( or a car according to your capabilities). If I buy a Cadillac and use it for towing and the transmition broke, is it the car's fault? In your case, you were hauling a trailer cross country pretty much. Do you know what the weight of the trailer was? Did you give the truck a break? Did you slow down on the hills? Ect. There is too much on the line in what could had gone wrong. Can we fully blame it to the truck or your inability to use common sense and wisdom? Having a $75k truck is not a guaranty that you are driving a celestial chariot. I will guess that you probably abused your truck and you are now frustrated and want everybody to be aware of "the problems" so nobody buy it. O wooow!! This is being very selfish and arrogant. Arrogance breeds on ignorance and with all respect, you seems to be well breed.

*Is she using the truck for its intended use?* A Raptor should be able to handle driving from LA to Vegas! *Is she defaming Ford and Raptor?* Nope! As a matter of fact, she is explaining her experience with the 10-speed transmission which is a known pattern failure. It’s difficult to defame other’s when speaking the truth! She could have mentioned cam phasers and moonroof problems too!
