Hey Guys, Major MB for another video, today i took another car from my work and this is a Ford StreetKa with the 1.6 8V engine with 95bhp, in this video i do the first test drive to see if the car runs good and if everything works properly.

My grandma still has hers. Bought it new back in the days. Solid city car. Cheap on fuel and insurance/taxes. Also if u need parts for the car your local scrap dealer will have tons of it for cheap prices. Had to buy mirrors and it cost me like 15bucks. Some People i know do have issues with rust.

what a nice car!! But i don't undestand the Ford criteria on putting the hazard lights button in a unconfortable place like that! Not only the ka, the Focus mk1, the Puma MK1 too

I love mine but it has some serious flaws, the majority of which are probably caused by the 16 inch wheels. The ride is dreadful, speedbumps are genuinely painful at times. The engine feels like a diesel, there's so much low end it's fantastic for driving around town but it's dead past 3500rpm. Best thing in the car is easily the gearbox, the linkage is fantastic and you get a great feel for every shift.

+1. Dreadful ride, good handling, and that gear shifter feels like something out of a 1960s sports convertible (in a very good way). I wish it had smaller wheels and taller tires like on the regular Ka to absorb the bumps, but the stock set up looks so good.

I own an 05 plate and absolutely love mine,yeah the suspension needs doing all the time but yeah,overall great little car.

I think this car improves a lot with 15 inch wheels, maybe you could try changing them for that size.

Beautiful little cars for the minimalist, but why no commentary? Will soon be able to import to the US, no questions asked (cars over 25 years old don't have to meet safety/environmental regs). Would love to have one, but not sure they rise quite high enough on my list...

I measure 1.83 m, and the seats are comfortable and the front visibility is good (better than a 2019 Fiat 124 Spider, and about the same as a 2012 Fiat 500). The problems are with engine noise and suspension. Below 100km/h, it's enjoyable to drive. At 120 km/h (normal highway speed for me), the wind and engine noise are not tolerable for long journeys. They made the suspension harder, and the tires thinner on the StreetKa compared to the Ka, so ride comfort isn't as good. If I were to compare the ride to the Fiat 500, I'd say it's less comfortable, but the handling is significantly better.

How does it feel to drive a car with the steering reversed?

Driving this car with reversed steering wheel is a bit difficult during the first minutes, but after a few kilometer it's very easy you have to remember to drive a bit more to the right😉

If you drive for example in the UK, it is easy to get used especially because you drive on the left side of the road. If you drive in main Europe it is harder because everything is made for left-wheeled cars, so driving on the right side with a right-wheeled car is confusing. You are too right, you overtake harder especially when you have to do it through the opposite lane, and you have to stretch your hand toooo much in tolls and drive through's. But if its for an average driving there is no issue

@@ilmenenakos Thank you for sharing your experience. In Brazil, cars have a steering wheel on the left. I still haven't had this experience of driving on the right side but it must be very interesting.

I'm American, accustomed to driving on the right (driver sits on left), but when visiting England, I rented a Fiat, which was the opposite configuration (and cars drive on the left side of the road). It WAS awkward at first, but the shifter layout was the same, so even though I had to shift it with my left hand instead of my right, I was able to do it. Problem was, I had to do everything mechanically. My natural (trained) responses were all wrong! I had to think about every turn or other maneuver I made, and always worried that in an emergency, I'd do exactly the wrong thing! Over the course of a week, I got better, but it would take a while for me to make the full adjustment...

@@zestor2908 agree I had a regular 1.3 in black with the beige leather and a sunroof.. loved it except for having to stick my head through that sunroof if I wanted to look at traffic lights :)

This car is in very good condition and it has no rust at all 😉
