11:34 Legendary engine sound. These Transits even have very equipped Airbags. I've seen versions without airbags. It has a hardware called lx. Legendary and mysterious vehicles. I think Transits with this new torpedo appeared in 1998 in Turkey. The years before that are the same in appearance. There is no airbag. Seat belts are very rare in the rear seats. On the longest Transit, I saw that there were 2 seat belts in the back. It was the same as front. The seat has a hole and has no frame. Some have holes in the seat even though they don't have seat belts. Frame and 2 or 3 point seat belts can be installed. And it will be nice.
These were the best Transits in my opinion......the Banana was a very strong reliable engine, not particularly fast but with that sort of simplicity, who cared ??
also in my country, Spain 🇪🇦 it's been one of the most popular vans since the 80s (i.e., since the two main national manufacturers of commercial vehicles, Pegaso and Ebro, disappeared), and still I can see a good number of them - the video's generation ones. Fun fact: the Transit Connect model is made in the Almussafes-Valencia manufacturing plant, is there any vehicle factory in Albania? Just for curiosity
@@danielhorrachsanchez4710 no there is no factory ..but there are many factories that repair cars for underwear...come to albania ..visit the country. we welcome you all regardless of nationality, religion
Use 1999s 9 seats 2.5TDI as daily... Yep, it little bit noisy, but I really enjoy of it engine... It's not so fast, but it has enough Torque for comfort cruising
I would have made the airbags standard on every Transit along with the anti submarining seats. Safety of driver and passenger should be a priority. And I would also include curtain airbags and seat belt pretensioners plus anti submarining seats on Tourneo 8 and 9 seat minibus versions plus 12 and 14 seat versions too.
My dad used to have this type of Transit many years ago, I remember the radio was very bassy. Does anyone know why Ford made the door speaker grilles a weird shape in this generation of Transit? This can be seen at 16:47.
Remember walking into ford showroom in Coventry in 2000. And thay had brand new engine & gearbox on display for £500. But couldn't sell them bcus no1 needed them. Indispensable engines
