Ford Transit 2.4 Tdci (2010) PCM NO COMMUNICATION, No Crank, No START! 

Thank you very much, this video helped me a lot. I used this video and switched between the fuses and the car started successfully.

Super worked fine for me, after 3 garage no fixes this did it in a minute.

Thank you! This matches up with my problem, im going to buy a multi-meter and reccomended OBDii reader, until then ill just try to flick around with the relays. And hopefully it will work

If you got that relay to work by twisting the leg there is a good chance that the fine coil wire connected to it is fractured and may fail again.

Just wondering could that R8 relay have something to do with central locking? i'm having the issue when i turn the key no lights on the dash except ajar light when door is open, normal stuff works like radio but central locking is not working and can't start the van. i also switched those two grey relays places but noting.

Come across this a couple of times, found it by accident the first time on my own van (key on and banging the fuse box) then knew what to check for the second time on a customers van. It’s worth taking the cover off the relay and cleaning the connection tabs inside as they will be scorched and poor connection. It can be a dangerous issue. On my van it cut out a couple of times, over a bump and it’d cut the van out completely and it’s not fun suddenly fighting a heavy old van round a bend when you’re not expecting it!

Hi mate got 2011 350 140 has engine malfunction light upon start. Starts and drives and Clears when pressing reset on indicator lever. Had scanned guy says pto switch ever came across one with this error before ?

Eyup sandy, brilliant video. Here's one to just bear in mind, these transits usually burn a wire out inside the cabin. Which in turn does the ecm relay under bonnet. Sat in the passenger side of the vehicle, if your dashboard has the "re-sessed" top, pull it upwards and out. As you know it will reveal another fuse box. Unscrew the four screws, and inspect the underneath of the fuse box for a burnt out wire, and usually a totally smashed and obliterated fuse. Which in turn does the ecm relay under the bonnet , and also fuse 21 or 22 will keep blowing, cant remember exactly which one, was about 12 month ago where I had exactly the same issue. And in turn I replaced the ecm relay, and all was good, for a short while. Till it goosed the fuse under bonnet and the relay again. All caused by the passenger side fuse box wiring. Either way, hopefully yours hasnt doesnt that. Kind regards kieren.

My mates bought van with btry light on worked for a year then battery's as they have 2 its lwb high top trany started dying and changed alternator twice and messed with stuff got lights off both spanner an battery lights now off but still dying on long runs have to leave running delivering I didn't kmow alternator had fuse or alternator bloody typical

I drive my 2.2 Transit back from Bulgaria, parked up for 6 weeks and next time I start it, the engine light is on and the code reader says PCM not found. Van drives fine so no idea whats wrong

Man, i have Ford mondeo mk4 2008. My english not good so i cant understand you. I found my problem, PCM relay dont have energy so it cant active. If can click PCM relay car is crank and start. All garages in my city cant fix this problem. What is your solution?

Hi Sandy, my ford transit started ok yesterday. I drove to the petrol station, filled up and when I tried to re-start the engine nothing happened. All dashboard lights etc but when I turn the key it doesn't even try to turn over. Could this be the same issue??

Sandy I’ve got the same van the dash is completely dead! No crank would this relay power the cluster? I’ve checked all fuses and there’s power to all fuses under bonnet Thanks mate

In My experience mechanics who take time to diagnose a problem rather than just say it cud be this or cud be that start of with buying this then buying that are hard to come by

Is actually a 2.4 engine as you said, not a 2.2 as write in the description

Hi can anyone help me please I have a Ford transit 2008 mk7 2.2 Diesel Front wheel drive when I switch the ignition on I have no dash lights and it will not crank but if I turn the ignition on fast it will crank for acouple of seconds. I have changed the ignition switch no different. Thanks

I stalled my transit now it does not even turn over or click hitting the ignition

Hi sandy quick question I have pcm no comms on a ad800bt diagostics hazards on permanently BCM was faulty new one from fords programmed also fine 2 days and no started hazards again on permanently changed ignition switch headlight switch sometimes it is fine no hazards other times hazards on and wipers go berserk ! 2009 mk7 transit 110k miles do you have instagram or fb so I can message you pics of the fault codes etc !
