I've been married to my girl for 35 years. When I start thinking up ideas I try to get her to come up with the idea then tell her what a great idea she has. It's a lot simpler than trying to convince her after I say something about it. I also remember what an old man said on his 50th anniversary. He said he wouldn't take a million dollars for his wife but he wouldn't give a dime for a truckload like her. My girl has been very good to me. I don't want to even think about what life would be like without her. I especially remember how she took care of me after I nearly made her a widow back in 2007. I never want to see her that worried again. Just remember how good she is to you when you are a little frustrated with the things she does that get under your skin.

What you described about the wife is100% spot on! Next time make her think it's her idea, it might even work, but you never know. Eli reminds me of me. That's what I did when Daddy worked on his equipment, pretty soon he will be able to help.
I had an old John Deere 4230 quad range years ago, bought it well used and ran it another 10 years before my brother sold it. I liked the "perma-clutch" oil clutch. Had few problems with that old tractor.

Hello Warren. We used to have the smaller brother to that. TW15 it was a good old work horse. We highed it to some road builder's and they seased her up. Lack of oil. I think women come from a different planet to us fellows. I haven't got a wife now. I miss her although she was always right
Again, tremendous amount of prep work before you can even get what you need to repair. I admire your patience and ability. As far as getting someone to adopt or accept an idea I’ve found planting the idea in such a fashion that it seems like the other persons idea when they finally accept the idea and tell you what you told them some time ago.

Eli is lucky to have a role model like you, because there aren't enough real men out there anymore. Maybe your wife wasn't sure how safe she would be at night. I would be a bit nervous that you mentioned it on here. I would leave whatever dog would be the most lethal at home. Your wife doesn't think you are stupid, she knows what you do, and how complicated thing's are. She probably doesn't have the seld esteem that you have. You giving in at time's reassures her that you think she is intelligent, and sometimes, you just have to go with it. Your wife don't cheat, and neither do you, and that's hard to find nowadays. Morality is a big issue everywhere, and that is part of why this country is going to shit. Living so long together is bound to cause some sparks lol, but your wife will be there when you need her, she runs for parts and gets them to ya. In Ireland we do things backwards I always block the back end and roll the motor away just roll the tires forward helps if you have someone on the other side rolling too lol

Here's a thought for you Warren. A lot new tractor drivers in the UK are part of or become part of the road construction engineering. Moving soil, gravel, tarmac, co station plant on trailers, and a like. The Government body for drivers has now passed a law (wait for it) that you have to past a 'Heavy Goods License' to drive a tractor. So this is for weights above 10 tonne. So people at work who drive tractors for mowing council land can not do the job now. And their is no money for training. So grass ain't being cut. And nobody is applying for jobs in agriculture, or construction industry contractors moving plant or the list above.
well here in Northern ireland agri work you are covered up to 32tonne combined weight max weight on the axles of the trailed implement is 18 tonne, That law is stupid though as most tractor drivers can run rings around Lorry drivers as we start at young ages i started at 5 or 6
Do you have access to a little car that you could run back forth to Klamath and keep service truck in Mac? Locked in the shop of course. Good used cars are hard to come by which sucks. Good luck, otherwise camper sounds like a good idea.
Hey Warren, another great video for me to watch. Those older tractors will keep you in business a while! Bringing your trailer down to the shop to stay a few days a week might be the ticket. $5.09 per gallon for diesel here in Georgia. The cost of it is reflected in everything we purchase. Sweet corn this year is over $7.00 for a dozen ears just to give an example. Last year we paid $2.00 a dozen
Great Video as always, Warren. Commentary is on point and honest as ever. I have been married 17 years, together 22 years. We have been through great times and tough times. Anyone that said marriage is easy is full of BS, it takes work and comprise. I have learned to pick my battles. My wife would not like that idea, she likes me being home. When we first got together I worked a job a few hours away, spent the week in a hotel, came home Saturday, did laundry and headed back Sunday afternoon. It was only a few months of work. The paychecks were great, it made us a better family. Being Married to a good woman is half the battle, I have been blessed in that department. Hopefully we get to see more of Eli, it would be nice to see someone pickup some of your knowledge. Is Eli your son?

I've got a question......you seem to have a lot of knowledge on the 7.3 powerstroke. I've watched your rebuilds. I've got lots of blow by and puking oil out the exhaust pipe. I cracked a piston or broke rings or something. Found a broken rocker arm pedestal and couldn't find the little ball bearing, i figure it got sucked up in a cylinder.....I'm half way into it. Do you think its ok to reuse the connecting rod bolts? I was just going to put new pistons/rings rod bearings in it while it's out and then put it back together with Mahle head gaskets and ARP studs.

Must you drive the work truck? You mentioned before, your youth was on a motorcycle. A decent, reliable scoot is great on gas. $3k - $5k on eBay right now.
Have though about a motor cycle, like your saying. Back in 1983 wound up in a motor cycle accident as this lady did not see us and pulled put right in front of us. That took me about 4 months to heal up and start working again. These days there bunch of people texting and driving and not paying attention really concerns me about getting a motor cycle.
I can see your doggy is a loyal friend and companion. I had a German shepherd who was just the same, we were joined at the hip. My greatest sadness in life is he was owned by my neighbour who just wanted him for status (she’s a narcissist). I let her treat me like shit for years just so I could be with him. Eventually I told her off one day and I lost my access to my friend. That was 3 years ago and I am soo broken I don’t see the point in going on. Sorry about telling my sad tale.If there is a heaven I hope to be with him again.

Got the same clutch problem in a John Deere just put brand new clutch kit in it 2 years ago throw out bearing gone. The hay so thick they would ride the clutch to keep from stalling the tractor instead of pulling a big tractor on it. Then bitch about the clutch kit. People
All I can tell you Warren is that men and women can talk different languages when it comes to ideas, even though we speak the same base languages. I have worked for and with women in many circumstances and industries and figured out how to get along. But when it comes to a lot of familiarity and history without sex being involved can get biased because of our own relationships it can get effed up in ideas and talking points. We are just different and our genes/chromosomes tell us so... This can be a very opinionated topic... Thanks for sharing!
I am working on wife number 3. 16 years, 6 years and 22 years. Evidently they were all related. I have decided that I must be a slow learner. The short bus rides were great.
