FOREIGNER DIDN'T WANT TO VISIT TAJ MAHAL... 🇮🇳 | INDIA | AGRA
Tour Guide contact: Ravi +919897358691
We’re in Agra to see the incredible Taj Mahal. Lawrence found his Kurta, but he was not keen on visiting the Taj Mahal. He thought it was going to be very busy and very touristy. He has seen lots and lots of photos and watched videos on the Taj Mahal. However.... we went. Dind out what happens.

We are Eleise and Lawrence & Nyh - A young family from the south of England. Like many people the pandemic gave us a shake up! While watching hours of Mark Weins in Thailand - We had our “Ah ha” Moment. We decided we wanted to travel.
Enjoying working for ourselves, we didn’t want to give up our business and decided it was entirely possible for us to do both. So we set about making it our lifestyle to work in the UK for a month, and then travel for a month - month on, month off…. until our little boy Nyh goes to school! We want to inspire people that you don’t have to up-sticks, sell all your belongings and leave behind family to be able to see the world.
Our Philosophy. Work, Travel, Repeat.

Absolutely to watch and hear the legend of the Taj Mahal from a guide who has done his homework and has a historical narrative based on facts and not on hearsay. As a student of History I am in total agreement to this guide's story. One more good thing he doesn't try to have an artificial accent but talks naturally as it should be. By the way, I came to Agra many times for various work related activities but couldn't take out the time to visit the Taj Mahal. I will do it soon.

Facts? Some muslim Kings or Queens buried on first floor of a building (second floor if you are from US)? King promising the queen not to marry again, hence not marrying her sister soon after she died? What facts are you talking about?
@subhanhasan990tsikfm
@subhanhasan990tsikfm Год назад
@@pankajgoel5354 that is a hoax, there is no historical record of him marrying her sister. infact after her death he started aging very fast, his beard and hair turned gray and his elder son dara shikoh had to act as co-emperor until aurangzeb beheaded him and jailed shah jahan
@sundipmittal
@sundipmittal Год назад
@@pankajgoel5354 Bhai, this guy has read the wrong history. Our history was written by by their own people to please mugal emperors. People have documentry evidence of Shiva Temple that was later called Taj Mahal. Locsl guide gave them small capsule & these people just took it.
@pankajgoel5354
@pankajgoel5354 Год назад
@@subhanhasan990tsikfm Oh man. He had 7 wives. Mumtaz was only 4th out of 7 wives. So WTF! The problem I see is not with what Shajahan did or did not do, my problem is with IQ level of people who go around acting like they know anything. If you want to change it then think and research about some of the questions below. This topic is irrelevant, who cares what some king did or did not, but while finding out answers to these questions you may become smart and learn to find out about things which could help you in your real life. He commissioned Taj to be built after Mumtaz death and it took 21 years to complete then does it mean the body of queen was lying around all these years? Does it mean there were no last rites performed for her after her death? Where was this body? Did they have deep freezers at that time? Did they bury her elsewhere and dug her up to bring her rotten body back to Taj after 21 years to bury her again on an upper floor of building despite being devout Muslims? Why are the lower floors using different material, different architecture etc? Why are these sealed? Does the official position make practical sense? Its for your own benefit, so try finding answers to these questions, and in the process you would be able to become a bit smarter in all areas of your life. Good luck.

Taj Mahal is surely the wonderful masterpiece, but in South India you will find many temples which aren't that popular outside India, but yet mesmerizing... I myself visited Taj Mahal multiple times, and the one you said the King Shahjahan was about to build another Taj Mahal was actually planned to be in Black colour Taj Mahal.... And the Redfort is not actually the one you pointed, it's little far from Taj Mahal in Agra, but from Red fort also one can see the Taj Mahal, and it was that Red fort where Shahjahan was kept by his son, not the one which is beside the Taj Mahal

I imagine the guide told you, but just in case he did not, that Arabic writing (prayers) carved and filled in black marble around the entry to the main white marble building is "written" in a way that when you stand below and read it (right to left), every character looks the same size, despite the fact that perspective should have made the letters at the top look smaller than the letters below. As to how did they measure back then, Indians of the Indus Valley Civilization from 3,000 BCE+, over 5 thousand years ago (centuries before Stone Henge was shoved together), already had standardized weights and measures with weights for scales starting at fractions of grams on up, and they had standardized "rulers" with which they could measure from fractions of millimeters on up. They created jewelry, on up to cities of bricks and stone, with gridded streets, sewers, and flowing water to each home. The tiny drills they used for making jewelry were even put to use for drilling out tooth cavities. It is one of the first things modern dentists are taught in Dentist Schools around the world. By the way, had you toured the place where Shah Jahan was housed/ imprisoned by his son, you would have seen the view of the Taj he would have had from his balcony. You would have also seen a small egg sized hole in the wall. Shah Jahan by then was very near sighted, so a polished diamond was embedded in the wall so he could look into it and actually see a magnified image of the Taj. You would have seen many more empty holes in the flower and animal images in which the flower centers and animal eyes had once been filled with precious stones. This is also true of buildings in the Old Delhi castles and royal residences. When the British got there, the British soldiers used their knives to dig out those precious stones as booty. The invading forces were allowed to take everything they could carry. The head officers would claim precious gems like diamonds and rubies as their portion of the booty, the officers just below them got slightly less precious stones, the ones below them got gold, those below got the silver, all the way down to the lowest ranks who got to keep and sell the cotton stuffing from the mattresses and pillows. All in all, during the occupation of India Britain absconded with 40 Trillion Pounds Sterling (that's right, Trillion with a T, if they were to attempt to return it today, GB would have to hand over the whole British GDP every year for about 18.18 years!) worth of wealth out of India alone.

Ellora Caves - Especially cave no.16 called Kailasa Mandir. It is a completely monolithic structure carved out of a single hard basalt-rock mountain. Most intriguing is the presence of a few "passages", all with intricate carvings and other embellishments on their insides, that are so small that only a small child could've fit in. There are several other mysteries about this cave that are currently being researched so we may even see entry being prohibited to that area.

Please visit ajanta and ellora caves, if you loved Taj Mahal , bcoz that is 100 times more breathtaking than Taj Mahal, because they have carved the entire huge caves by hand through a single huge stone by hand !

This guide is doing a great job but rather over animated.... Ha... I was lucky enough to get a 73 year old man on my third visit to this GORGEOUS piece of history that exists in this land (which idiots happily accept because it gets tourism and yet keep spreading hate towards the rest of the history as of this second...sigh)... Anyway, that brilliant man was so pensive and immersive in his descriptions in such a casual manner that I honestly rediscovered the love for this monument all over again the third time around. Think the fourth time should be soon.... You guys are a joyful trio... Wish I had bumped into y'all on my walks since the last video I saw was you guys in my darling Deer Park (it's my hood so to say....ha) Much love and have fun exploring what all this lovely land has to offer.... Cheers!
