2:43 "Every time I hear that story of somebody saying, 'Well, I didn't call it in because we had an argument.' I always wonder,😂how could anyone believe this?!😁" And yet most times people DO call within hours of someone going missing, BUT they're AUTOMATICALLY dismissed, and the authorities offer up an array of ASSUMPTIVE excuses as to where this person they don't know "probably went", and the caller is told they need to wait a certain number of hours - usually a minimum of 24 - before they can file a report and before the cops CARE enough to lift a finger to help or initiate a search!🙄🙄🤦🏻😠😠

@secrets.295 2 года назад
Its easy to judge the police as not CARING ENOUGH. But if u only knew the amount of people that makes police report that their loved ones, relatives didnt not show up after a few hours you wouldnt say that. I have an ex bf who is a police officer. He said missing person report happens way too many time. I have a brother who went missing for 2 days, we all were crying, I made a police report, we thought he was dead. The police did a police investigation. He showed up at my mom's place 2 days later and said he was being stupid, joined a party and got crazy stoned. You see how much time the police wasted on him? If the police have to respond to every "missing person" after went missing for 2 hours, they would die from overwork. So a standard 24 hours is a reasonable procedure. Plus its not always a black and white thing. If its a case of your wife does not come back from work the whole night. The police would usually respond. Its easy to sit here and judge the police. Its always their fault. Nobody wants to spend 2 second of their day trying to understsnd their jobs.

This woman's presence of mind to draw attention by ramming through the barricade is what I so wish(ed) upon each and every victim of kidnapping. I was in the 8th grade at our junior high school the day 7th grader Kimberly Diane Leach was abducted and violently murdered by Ted Bundy in Lake City, FL 2/09/1978. Later, 4/27/1994, Carmen Gayheart , a nursing student close to graduation, was shot twice in the back of the head after being abducted from the parking lot of a grocery store. Her abductors were two prison escapees from North Carolina. My information indicates that she was forced to drive at gunpoint to her eventual site of execution. On the route, she passed the LCPD building. I personally see myself ramming that building to get attention. Without judgment or condemnation, I so wish that these two innocent, precious souls, would've been able to conjure the strength (if able) to ram their bodies/vehicles as to cause a wreck/garner attention. Again, without judgment. RIP Kimberly Diane Leach, and Carmen Tortorra Gayheart.

Okay... so you're saying that it's the victims faults for not having the foresight to ram into buildings after they were abducted? I live in Jacksonville. I don't remember this case since I was 9 when it happened & didn't watch the news. I did work over nights at Winn Dixie in 1995. Luckily, I was never there by myself though. Had a manager, c/s manager, & about 10 stock guys there every night. Got till tapped one night. I reflexively put my fingernails in the backs of his hands until he threatened me. He grabbed the money & ran, then I yelled that we had been robbed. Everybody came running. There was a cop that stopped by every night on his rounds & he came in a few minutes later & was so upset that he wasn't there when it happened. Apologized profusely to me. So nice. They caught the guy a couple weeks later. One of the police officers that "worked" in the store was the one to arrest him & told me that he still had my fingernail marks on the backs of his hands. Really loved hearing that! Turns out that he had been robbing late night convenient stores too. So glad that I wasn't in a store all by myself all night. I think nowadays, most companies require at least 2 people working over nights.

This Elmen dude was a little bitty guy, which is probably why he attacked women, because he probably figured they'd be an easier target than men. But just watching his interrogation clip, he's constantly flexing his muscles, trying his best to look big and bad, muscular, but I'd be willing to bet, if he hadn't of had that knife, Julie probably could've whipped his ass!! With her being a particularly tall girl, she probably could've taken him down, but since he had a weapon, he got the upper hand on her. I feel so bad for her and her husband & family....If they would've had just one more person there, working with her in that convenience store, maybe she would still be alive today. This is the very reason why I've never even applied to convenience stores or Real Estate companies, because women are always found working alone. People like Elmen seek out these kinda situations, to find those who are vulnerable, specifically women. That's so sad to see Julie's car with the plates, "Julie & Ron"....so sad....
