Hey! This has been one of my most requested songs, and it happens to be one of my all-time favorite songs. In fact, it is my most played song on iTunes and has been for like 7 years haha. One of the first recordings I ever made was an acapella attempt at this song (in 2009). Back then, I used a book as the bongos and I vaguely remember using a spoon for something. Anyways, I'm glad to share another remix of one of my favorite songs from my all-time favorite game. I put a lot of love into this cover and I hope you enjoy it. David Wise is awesome! I recorded two separate bongo takes, and filmed one so I wouldn't clutter up my screen.

1:33 - 1:53 Did you really just do that in one take!? That's not an easy 30 seconds to play! Many have steered clear of this song because of that part and stuck to Stickerbrush Symphony instead! I like to play by ear too, but I would have to slow down the song to catch all those notes! Goodness! Thumbs up again! This is my favorite song from the entire series.

I keep forgetting about this song even though it’s from my favorite game OST. You really did this one justice. Your cover is so hauntingly beautiful I can’t get it out of my head. Some of those final measures bring nostalgic sadness and longing to the fore of my emotions…in a good way.

I like to think of myself as a very balanced person: I don’t throw random “OMG best ... ever, love it!”. I do believe in the power of words and I try to use them appropriately. Said so, this is simply the most beautiful cover of the most beautiful piece of any soundtrack, and even if I don’t know you I think I can safely say that you’re a beautiful person

My favorite song in the game. And this cover is awesome! I just recently 100%ed this game for the first time... and now this cover makes me want to play it again. Instant favorite :) You've done 5 songs from this game and there's still so many fantastic ones left to cover! The more I listen to this soundtrack, the more I love it. Mining Melancholy or In A Snow-Bound Land next, perhaps? Are the piano notes at 1:31 a reference to another DKC2 song? It sounded like it, but I couldn't quite place them. -David

as a huge nintendo nerd who spends a lot of his time on youtube listening to remixes, covers, and the like of nintendo songs, and also as someone whose favorite game (and soundtrack!) is DKC2 too, it absolutely *baffles* me how I haven't come across your content sooner. It's AMAZINGLY good, and I loved every bit of this reimagining. You seem to have covered all of the best tracks from DKC2, and I'm going to give those a look soon, but the sheer quality of this one gives me no doubt that they will also amaze me. I loved this song too. The 3 games of Donkey kong country on Super nintendo are a part of my childhood and DKC 2 has the best soundrack. Dave wise is a great composer. You perfectly played this song and you are so beautifull
