Ok since I got this deck working with it has been a healing and beautiful for me. You are the one who introduced me to it so I feel like I gotta share this part of my journey with you. I agree with you that the Keeper of Visions was just off for some reason and didn't really care for that card (like the only one I didn't really care for too) BUT I was just doing a reading and the weaver of vision came up and as I was studying her I felt like I had seen her before... and then it hit me SHE IS THE KEEPER OF VISIONS. The keeper card says he is a shift shaping wizard. I think they are the same being! That helps me like the Keeper of Visions so much better now.

It seems that the queen of cups is in the process of shapeshifting, and the king of cups has completed it. That is interesting, and maybe the guidebook addresses it. So far I'm loving the deck! The guidebook is gorgeous and reads like a book of fairytales, the art is to get lost in, and even the spreads are very creative.

I think you are right Kyleliz! I just posted something and am seeing your comment now. So glad someone else sees it too!! I think it might actually be a theme in the weavers and keepers across the deck. I think the Visions and the Boons are more obvious examples... Look at the faces in the boons cards they are the same face to me. But I think the spells is on the same track as well. the swirl of her dress and the swirl of his fire birthing the dragon! Gosh I LOVE this deck!!!

If you want a second copy of this deck with a better card stock, there's a french version call: Le tarot des esprits de la forêt enchantée. The editor is Vega. It has been published january 2023. The colors are a little bit darker but it gives a touch of a deeper voice in my opinion.

I do that same thing, the new Denise Linn deck has been cooling on my wishlist too, and I look at it every week. Today I decided to go ahead and get it. I have the hidden realms as well as this deck and putting the cards together the card stock feels the same. The bend and thickness match.I personally like this card stock over thicker card stock. I am not a fan of cards that do not glide and too thick to shuffle with ease. I love the guide book and this deck is going to be awesome to work with and see where this adventure takes me. That is too funny, I just did the same thing yesterday and realized that they are the same thickness, just different texture to the finish. I agree with you, I 100% perfect this to that super thick cardstock that you can't even shuffle. I am loving working with this deck so far. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️

After using it a bit now, I actually like it too. It is the same thickness as my other Llewellyn decks, I think it was just the different finish on the cards that made it feel weird lol. I do love this deck, haven't been able to put it down since I got it. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️

Great review. The fish throws me off big time as well. To me, it's the only "sour" note in this gorgeous deck but it won't keep me from getting the it!

It's amazing seeing other people's perspective. When I saw the hunter card I figured it was the devil or the death card, but it turn out to be justice. I can see how to most people a hunter as justice would work fine, I don't think I would be able to see it as anything but death. Thank you so much for the review, it really helps. I'm not one for faces on my decks like the Hidden Realm has, but maybe that's something I should explore? LOL Anyway, it's on my list and should I order it, I will order it through your affiliate link! I said the same thing about the Hidden Realms, I'm not a huge fan of people in my deck in general and then to have them so up close and personal, I wasn't sure about that. An idea: the liner of the box lifts out. A little contact paper or decoupage paint and you have a terrific gift box or storage box. It will hold multiple decks and stacks neatly.

Always love the way you do the review so calmly n detailed...which helps us to get more clarity whether we should go for one or not...☺i got fascinated by this deck n straight checked ur review.thanks a ton dear...n white is my fav.color even as a chakra healer love white so love ur wooden table n the way you arranged it simple...with less crystals candles etc.not crowded... Less stuff n simple things are always beautifull😇🤗also i too don't like always 3 of swords in a heart in mostly decks so good to see this change...people get scared when they get 3 of swords but for me it has some great msg to its not always about betrayal hurts n breakups sorrows as i see that card.😇thanku again 🙏🏻namaste from india.

I love the cardstock it's like the old card stock llewellyn had before, slick and smooth some of my decks are more than 10 years 9ld and they are still good to go thin, it's true, but durable ;) haha I prefer this cardstock to the hiden realms 😁 humans are hard to please 😆love all ur vids btw ❤

It's actually not as bad as I first thought, after working with it for a bit I realized it's the same cardstock as the Tarot of the Hidden Realm, just a different finish on the cards that makes it feel different I think. These are a little thicker than the Antique Anatomy I think. I realized yesterday that they are actually the same thickness of Tarot of the Hidden Realm if you have that deck, just a different finish to the cards. I highly recommend it the deck, I have really been enjoying working with and I just adore the artwork and the book. I hope that helps. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️

i’m just getting into tarot and i really love how aesthetically pleasing and the connection i feel to the cards is strong, but i’m wondering if this would be alright to start with as a beginner? or do you think it’s best to go for the more basic ones until i understand the cards better ? lol sorry i’m completely new and i love these cards but i still have a lot to learn. great video btw :).

This one does some different things in its naming and such, but it does still at it's heart follow the traditional waite-smith structure. The guidebook is fantastic so I think with the help of that, it would work fine for a beginner. If you are drawn to it, I say go for it! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

I just acquired this deck recently, and I'm really enjoying it. It's magical. It truly does evoke the feeling of the brooding, enchanted forest of folklore and myth. The art is gorgeous and the guidebook is beautifully produced. I wonder about some of the structural changes to the deck -- the suits and the titles -- but I like it overall, so I'm willing to work with them.

This is such a stunningly beautiful deck. I wish it had better card stock considering the price. My favorite oracle deck was the same but I had it laminated. It works great now but ill never do that again lol, too much work! I think I'd probably use a clear backing to stabilize them.

I've seen a few people add clear contact to the back to thicken up the cardstock. I actually like thin Llewellyn cardstock, it riffle shuffles well. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️

Beautiful cards. Thanks for your video. I have to get theses as well. To bad I have to wait another week till the German release. What size does the cards have? They seem smaller to me than the usual tarot decks.

Pretty deck. I did put this in my wish list to think about. Thought the cardstock does have me worried. I wonder how well it will hold up. For $28.74 I would have loved to hear the cardstock was better.

I realized yesterday it is actually the same thickness as the Tarot of the Hidden Realms, it's just the finish on the cards that is different and that is what I think makes it feel less study. If you don't mind me asking, how do you read the 3 of swords? It's a beautiful deck. I'm in need of a dragon deck but all the ones I've seen are featuring dragons in a way I don't see them. But this one looks better, especially the baby dragon. Thank you!

Basically, I read the 3 of swords as threes are the number of birth/growth. If you think of it terms of birth, we see the female and male come together to make the baby. In terms of growth we get the idea of adding 1 + 2 makes the larger 3. And then swords for me are the suit of the mind, so the 3 of Swords would be growth of the mind. I do have an entire series coming soon on how I personally read and every card. I'm really looking forward to sharing that one. I hope that helps in the meantime! 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

To be honest I don't actually use them for readings yet. The thickness does make them more difficult to work with. My plan is to craft them all, scan them in and then have them printed somewhere so I can get them back to a standard size. Right now they work great as intention or alter cards, but to be able to actually shuffle and use them, I want to get them onto something thinner and more user-friendly. I hope to have them available next year. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️

I must say the only qualm I have about the deck is the pages depicted as children - I see the pages as innovative. People who mastered the lessons of ace through 10 in each suite. Not immature as traditionally depicted... Also the fish 🤦🏽‍♀️ I guess the answer lies in the guide book!

I totally agree with you about the Pages, I often have to work my way around very young people in my Pages. In those cases I just see them as the rebirth to the next stage of development after mastering the numbers. Most of the time that works pretty well. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️

Just popping in for a quick reply to this comment. As I explain in the book, the people cards in this deck aren't a hierarchy like court cards are, with a progression in mastery of the suit. The four characters represent different ways of interacting with the forest and its enchantment. It's one of the reasons I structured the book with all the Child cards together, all the Seekers, etc. -- to avoid the idea that it's a sequence. But by all means, bring your own interpretations to the cards! That's what any tarot deck is made for.
