Join us today as we explore Kek Look Tong. An amazing and beautiful Cave temple located in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. Only 15 minutes outside of the city centre, this temple is one of the most beautiful places we have seen in our lives.
The temple was opened for worship in 1920. In 1960 it was used for the mining of iron but re-opened in 1970 as again a place of worship. It is a buddhist temple but also a Taoist temple as well. The entry is free (but donations are welcomed and encouraged) by visitors. This is what we would think is a MUST SEE in Ipoh if you're a fan of nature, temples or just beautiful things in general. We had an amazing few hours in this temple and it's zen gardens out back and would definitely visit again, if only to spend time beating the heat and relaxing in this unique place.

Ipoh was our favourite in Peninsular Malaysia… could have easily stayed a bit longer. Borneo has changed our mind about Malaysia, it’s absolutely beautiful.

Wow what a beautiful temple.Its Ipoh hidden gem .The greeny is breath taking and yes it looks like King Kong might jump out anytime now. Lee the Chinese guy he was very knowledgeable about this place. Im glad you did this vlog and again in the near future i hope to check it out.🙏🙏👍👍

Haha King Kong was definitely waiting in the wings somewhere around there. Lee was a huge help in better understanding the area and the temple in itself, so glad we got to have a chat with him and share some info on the place. Would recommend most definitely, it’s such a serene place out there!!

wow now that is an awesome place - really enjoyed watching this - must be a thousand times better in real life. I was taught different at school - I was just told "tights hang down from a washing line" lol worked for me all these years. Got to say I was Sooooooo disappointed at 4:19 I really thought you were going to break into a rap dance by Nik Martin when Franc said "there's big fish, little fish" and I really thought we were going to see you both start dancing singing "cardboard box" (hope you know the song lol)

It’s one of those places that the camera doesn’t really do it justice in regards to the height of the mountains surrounding you in garden. Haha whatever helps us remember! I’m so sorry to disappoint the both of you here, I’m not familiar with the songs. But I will look them up and have a laugh when I find out what you’re talking about 😂😂

Wow. What a beautiful place. I would spend all day in that cave trying to remember which ones are the stalactites. Haha. I would love to try the reflexology path for sure. I always find it odd when you see a naturally beautiful place and then suddenly there is a modern building that kind of takes you out of the moment.

It was really gorgeous! Hahaha the reflexology path hurts in a good way 😂 Definitely would recommend giving it a go! Yeah it kinda feels like it clashes a bit like “that shouldn’t be there”. I agree it’s super weird.
