Szoboszlai played well. Salah was shit, Diaz was shit, Trent was shit. Leave Szoboszlai alone, he can't help he made tons of runs and no one could give the ball to him.

Midfield still too lightweight , and can be bullied. Atalanta done it to them last season. Szobo loves to duck a 50/50 challenge. Macca doesn’t like the rough n tumble, Trent ducks out of challenges. Yates had them all shook today. No steel whatsoever.

Blame fsg for not upgrading our midfield. We had an average midfield to begin with and just replaced it with more average players. I never understood the hype about McAlister and szlobo...others are just as bad too slow and can't keep the ball. Now look at city, arsenal midfield... they're way above us.

It's not an excuse, just to put it in context: Szobo, as a captain, had a horrible week with the Hungarian team. Two very difficult games because of different reasons and they got a lot of criticism. I'm sure he was stressed and mentally tired. In addition, his Hungarian teammates are much slower than at LFC, so returning from the international break, he always faces rhythm problems with his passes.

I think it was a mistake to not rotate after the international break. A lot of players weren’t at it

szobo is so poor with his use of the ball. Incredible athleticism but has never stood out in our midfield, at least not in a good way.

Jamie Redknapp MKII nice and fluffy on the ball and thats it. He was decent for about six games last season then disappeared. Had Zubimendi signed Szoboszlai would be on the bench.

At united, Szobo refused to shoot on sight. Felt cute might shoot later mentality. He can't play for Pep like that. He'll be on the bench. Our players need to be ruthless. Break down play like City and Arsenal do. We're too nice.

This herd mentality narrative of calling Szoboslai against forest 'extremely poor' shows low competence in football. He was one of the better players of a team that had a bad day in office. Go and watch the game again mate before you make these ((rather dilettant) judgments spread by some RU-vidrs. Luckily Slot knows the importance of Szob's game, hence he played all the 90 minutes of the first five matches. More worrying how to substitute him. Jones had an underwhelming 10 minutes against Forest. Eliot is way too slow and fragile for Liverpool. The current balance in the midfield is promising, real supporters get excited seeing this shaping up, not counting on misplaced passes and ignoring the overall progress and the ceiling of that trio.

Many of Salah's and szobo's passes were too ahead or too behind the runners which broke many of our attacks. Diaz was made ineffective by Aina apart from that 1 chance at the near post. We should've tried Nunez and Gakpo in the box 2nd half with Trent/salah/szobo pinging in crosses from the right and Robbo from the left occasionally. We also didn't take any shots from the Centre with szobo n Macca having a good strike on them . Forest didn't even attempted to press into our half and we in our desperation conceded a stupid goal. Bradley should've taken a yellow before letting odoi have a pop at our goal. We have made a decent start and the team has to make improvements against low blocks for us to be real title contenders or we are destined to finish 3rd again. Lets hope the players take it in their stride as City will surely be relegated or deducted pts which puts us into the mix. Come on you Reds. YNWA.

Dom was poor today, and that's being kind. It was between him and Salah for worst performance. With the benefit of hindsight, I think we should have played our fittest players and gone into the game ready for a scrap. That means starting Endo and Nunez. We also missed Klopp-style passion and heart. Playing pretty possession/passing game is all well and good until you play the proverbial Burnley on a cold February Monday night. Slot needs to learn how to prep us to win these games and he needs to do it quick, because every team from 8th down will be looking at this and looking to repeat it. It's perhaps no coincidence that Slot was unable to beat Mourinho and Diego Simeone. It does not bode well right now. Hopefully he's a fast learner.
