Forging hexagonal, Japanese style hammer & ???

In this video, I forge one of my single face style hammers out of hexagonal stock - not my usual round or rectangular stock style. I also make this a bit longer than my standard hammers. I explain a bit about my tooling and the process...

You're working off a balcony! Very impressive. Reminds me that we don't always need all the space or fancy tools we think we need in order to do the job well

I just cant believe you do all this by hand. People that have never hit a chunk of steel that big with a hand hammer would have no idea how hard it really is. Just amazing hats off too you Glen!

Hi Glen, You make it look easy and I hope it is some day for me! I have bad feet and I am a huge fan of your forge anvil setup, especially how you can sit in one spot and move from one to the other easily. I am redesigning my space to have that ease of use. Thanks Glen!

Glen, I'd love to have your Hammer...who wouldnt!! I love your anvil, forge and tools that you've made. I've been curious about your lifestyle, there in a foreign country. Love to see a video about where you live, cost of things (compared to the US), how/why you over there, etc. You're a great wealth of information to all of us "newbies" to the craft and I thank you for varied and numerous projects that you put out. Enjoy each and every one! Thanks, Mark C. Clark Gainesville, Florida
