Well this maybe a bit over simplified, but what you are making is an oversized set of bolt jaw tongs right? So basically you're just upsizing a pair of bolt jaw tongs, so if you find a video on making a pair of bolt jaws there you go! or did I miss something?

Lol. 17 1/2 minutes is what it appeared, and that would have been nice. TOTAL time on those was a couple hours or so, including rasping, finish and fit.

We often grab bigger stock. Sometimes for things like hammers or top tools. We just don’t have the tongs to grab that size, until now. We will probably make some even a little bigger at some point.
