I covered an early access build of this last year, but the full game releases today and it's pretty epic! The video contains sections of some of my favorite levels from the third chapter. :)
FP+Lovecraft+comic look=💚 Will be amazing a Dungeon Crawler with similar look+Supershot move mechanics..(maybe can be combined the idea of time=movement/action from Supershot with RPG tactic..you can control and change any of your pnj freely, but the I.A. control the rest wen you move/action/order to others..mixing the turn based combat with the real time combat..)
I see the character take out the cross a couple of times during this game--a long with a voodoo doll and a few other special items. What do those do exactly?
This is certainly a very unusual take on the traditional Lovecraftian horror, but extremely well-made nonetheless. I also love how the majority of monsters are referencing different works of H. P. Lovecraft, like ghouls with tombstones (in Lovecraftian universe, these creatures inhabit cemeteries and are known for defiling graves while digging for corpses. In The Dream Quest of Unknown Cadath, ghouls are described using an actual tombstone as a lever) or wretches with a spare head, that they put in place of the old one when they lose it (imo, could be a reference to Herbert West from Reanimator).
Holy shit, this is spectacular! The ambiance, the art direction (reminded me of Telltale Games), the sound design, and the voice acting are in perfect harmony. Putting this on this list of 'play later'. And about time more priest protagonists to start kicking demonic asses.

Was not even aware of this game until this video popped up. Needless to say, I bought it. After a short playthrough, I can wholeheartedly recommend Forgive Me Father. The shooting is solid (pretty fast paced akin to the Doom remake), and the atmosphere is a lot more scary than what you see in this video.. If you're a looking for a real horror shooter, this game is an absolute bargain for what it offers.
Cool game, cool art, cool soundtrack! I just found the weapons to be a bit lackluster. I mean c'mon, a gunslinger-priest killing monsters from hell, there are some serious missed opportunity: crucifix-crossbow (Crossifix?), the Juda's Priest: you shoot a monster with it and he betrays his friends, a 7-shooter with each bullet representing a deadly sin with different effects, etc.
This game is incredibly addictive and hard as hell. Among the retro-ish action titles in the market, FMF is the best! It creates an amazing atmosphere that many AAA games fail to display.
Ah yes, this must be based on one of the lost works of HP Lovecraft, one of those that had the protagonist blasting through hordes of Cthulhu worshippers with a shotgun.

as a reader of Lovecraftian Stories, i can wholeheartedly say this game SCREAMS if Lovecraftian Horror was a Classic DOOM Shooter, but witha art style of hand drawn models nad characters, kinda like "My Beautiful Paper Smile"
